Pure Wrecked

So I like to test scripts and provide feedback on them, or modify them until I make a stable fix and offer my solution to the original scripter.
Doing this means I babysit my bot alot of the time, and I like to be able to pm my friends and talk in my fc while my bots are running.
Sometimes this works fine, but other times I am forced to constantly disable/enable SMART to do this. I don't know how to control this and it's quite frustrating, especially as newborn scripts that are quite unstable can be easily thrown off by disabling/enabling contantly.
Does anyone know how to make it so that my keystrokes get recorded on runescape while SMART is enabled?
All help and comments are appreciated, all information helps, even if you think it won't ;D

This was discussed many times before, tehre is now way to make it recognize your keystroeks all the time.
Here's my method:
Click on the RS screen while the bot is running and SMART is enabled, start typing. Can't see anything typed? Stop.
Minimize window, click somewhere else, unminimize, click on RS screen.
This should make the characters you have typed down before show up, and sometimes lets you type.
Also, it's never a good idea to disable SMART with the script running, pause the script first if you have to disable it.

Don't you just use:
ActivateClient;
In your main loop after you setup srl and declare players and such? (I thought that's all you need to do to type whilst running a script in SMART)

This. He's right that it's discussed before. Just give it a few tries. Trial and error will get it.

I normally just disable it and click on chatbox then re enable smart and usually it works but like litoris said that can sometimes cause problems with the scripts so ill try this method out.

That's not for SMART, afaik.

wow, thanks for this post. Just began doing this as of now.
I've always stopped the script, never paused, and just hit the play button again.

No it is disabled when you include SMART.
On topic:
I never got it working. When multithreading comes out you might want to make a form where you can type instead, making you bot type it.

You could just run your scripts in the Runescape client. Then you can type while botting :)

Wouldnt typing while running a bot show that you are botting? If you are typing something while the mouse is moving and clicking things, wouldnt that give you away?
For example, you are running an alcher, and it requires you to click a lot, but if you type while you are alching that would give you away because normally the alching would stop for you to type something and then when whatever you wanted to say is typed, you resume alching…

This.
I've always wondered whether RS notices or not…
