So once when I updated my Ivy chopper some time ago I was hacked because I left my pass and user in the script ( I know my fault ), but would it make a difference if I got the IP of the user? Would he be banned from here? I also kinda wanna know who it was
Any thoughts?
I dont think so, becoz you dont really have prove.
You can try to contact a admin anyways :P
Sad to see people hacking there own community members…
Anyways, good luck on trying to ban him :P

You updated it and got hacked? That doesn't make any sense. Elaborate?

I think he updated his script, and in the newest version he left his username and pass. :duh:

He was testing his updated script, he used his account to test it. When he updated the script for public use, he updated it with his log in info for his account in the script by accident. Common mistake among scripters.
It happened to me but I was able to recover it and my entire bank was sold in the GE with the money in my inventory.
Edit: Ninja'd
And to answer Gucci, It is a dick move to steal someone's account like that. Usually when this happened to me someone else on the forum would actually change the password and PM to me so I could change the password. You could get the IP and ask an admin to see who it was, but I don't know what the consequences are. Maybe the user would be infracted or be -repped.

There is proof it happened with my Ivy Chopper someone mentioned it then I went to change pass but was too late. I was just wondering if it would still be possible since it has been a bit

Yes, if you do have an IP address I'm sure someone in the staff can run that through all users on Villavu and hopefully come up with a match. If you'd like to do that, I do recommend PM'ing the IP address and your situation to a mod or admin directly.

As much as I agree with you and I know how pissed of you are that this happened to you, but you cant say you were hacked.
Hacking invloves getting your user info by clicking and opening an infected malicious program. Technically it was a silly mistake, I saw someone make it yesterday as well and apparently same thing happened.
EDIT: Im just saying, do not mean this in a negative way at all.

Usually if I see this happen as its a common mistake stated by Mr.Doctor, I change the pass and notify the author that they've left their details attached to the script and I've changed the pass to prevent hacking, usually they themselves are quick enough to realize their error and all is well. Sorry to hear about your loss though G! All the best for future remembrance! :)

Man that sucks… I never test with my main anymore.
It also sucks that it was a 0 post leech, because you can't infract them- and they could be somebody else on this forum.
That really sucks.
