Hey guys,

I've just returned from holidays, back to school unfortunately :( And for my Software class we'll be having our "major" project soon.

Now, I need ideas for such a project, please :) The duration for me to complete it is within 3 weeks, but also keep in mind that my class is full of complete idiots who have never programmed anything for a computer before. So, it doesn't have to be of advanced level, not even intermediate level (last project, one kid got full marks for writing a Python TUI hangman game..).

So yeah, I need something quick that won't take up much time :) Unfortunately, I'm not really good with ideas :-/ So, please help? :D

By the way, the languages I should be allowed to code in are C++, Object Pascal (Delphi) and Python.

Cheers,
Daniel :)

Make GUI skinning with Win32API & GDIPlus? Make a program that you can draw and paint on using pens, brushes & bitmaps? I guess that's like asking you to remake MSPaint..

Make a multi-functional-calculator that calculates derivatives, the Zeros of quadratics and the speed of an object (Physics) and conversions from different units, difference of squares, cubes, etc.

Make a program that connects to a webcam, takes a snapshot on button press and saves it as BMP. It's probably only about 200 lines to do. Make a program that starts and stops services using the SCManager.
