Object DTM's Area

I'm trying to figure out what exactly is the "Area" for an object DTM and what it's used for. Is it an area that it will click within if the DTM is found? And if so, if I want to make the ObjDTM walk to a specific point how could that be accomplished?

It checks if you're in that location… about it.

Very simple, make the area really small.

Literally have it so that the area barely goes around the point you want to walk to, that should get it to walk exactly there.

Obviously, if you wanted to define a larger areas such as a bank or a mine, then the area would cover the entire bank/mine.

Erm, not quite. The main-point of an Object DTM determines where the click will occur. The area is a polygon that exists relative to the main-point so that once the Object DTM has been found, you can then check to see if a point is within that polygon. Usually, that would be the center of the minimap so that you can tell if your character is in a certain area, but any point on the minimap can be tested.

When I use ObjectDTM's, the larger the area I use to walk in, the more spread out the points are where it clicks.

When I use a very fine area, then it will always click within that area.

The area does not, in any way, affect where the click occurs. The area is an optional feature for more advanced location detection.

Hmmm, interesting. I always thought it has an effect, maybe it was psychological lol!

Yes, I can assure you that I haven't written any code that makes an area affect the clicking pattern. However, the latest revision of the include has two new variables- 'ObjDTM_XRand' and 'ObjDTM_YRand' which by default are both set to 2, but you can increase them to make the clicks more random.
