As lot of injection bots are down I think this "Optimus" hit already.

I doubt it hit already, Jagex loves the attention they get when they nuke something ;)

A lot of those injection bots have been down since the latest content patch (yes most content patches break injection bots and the creators are often busy/lazy).
I also heard talk of 8 days until optimus, no one can confirm anything from reliable sources, it's all mouth-to-mouth rumours at this point.

I partially agree. I think that there will be a bot nuke in the near future, as some mods have confirmed it to come in the next few months, but they are no where near ready to release the update at the moment. Remember the HUGE hype they created during Bot Nuke I ? Its more of a marketing gimmick for Jagex, and they wouldnt pass out that opportunity.

They will hype it like a month before the actual nuke.

So no, I really dont think the bot nuke is gonna come in 8 days.

I read it as 250k exp for the life of the item (however fast you make 250k exp) so that would be max in the month, not per day.

anyone else getting the "must update java" thing? i think they want me to update to java7 :(

No just a item that gives 50% experience until you reach a total of 250k xp gained over all skills or one specific skill, depens how you use it. So just once same for the Loyalty Points, you receive it once.

Yeah I have to agree, I don't quite understand what those 3 locations could have to do with Optimus.. And It being on Saturday is indeed pretty weird. I don't think that there's ever been an update during the weekend.

Meh…. new big released and bonus will bring more people to their site and sign up… meaning more money for them which is all they want.

Well, if LSD RaptorScape comes out, so be it. I would love to see a new continent or skill, its been forever sense the last skill was released, and even longer since a big map area was released. Plus they have all this content they haven't released, so who knows?

Most of all i hope they fix the fps issues :p

Well the thread is still there for me :S I can still see the counter.. 8 days 47 minutes 5 seconds.. Also if this optimus is real it'll probably force you to update to Java 7 in which case Smart doesn't work with that and it won't be hard to fix so it's stupid. I'm sure it's for injection bots.

The timer seems to be the same kinda crap Jacmob pulled when he fooled all the RSBuddy guys. Knowing it's jagex though I wouldn't exactly underestimate them. Can't be optimus though.. I think it's the cryptic clue fest ;)

Catherby and Ardoughn, both close to water, maybe player owned ports?!?!

Well it would make sense, i mean the whole may madness or whatever and crazy weekends. Will probly be like the tripple soul wars points and double c wars tickets and the double dung xp (Which I will Looooooove ;)). Yeah optimus, probly some new graphics, andddd fps fix? Yay :D

With all these bonuses they should add content to skills going beyond the 99 mark. A new skill would also be sweet! :D

I doubt this is bot nuke it is either something for may day and they cant count the days properly or its until the last boss of dung is released or something? (just read that somewhere)

1. Do they aim to take down the bot's e.g Powerbot, Epicbot OR do they aim to ban players?

2. Also is it safe to bot up until the bot nuke day~?

the update isn't related to the up-coming bot nuke. why would it talk of ardougne, the grand exchange and catherby? they have nothing to do with nuking, botting etc. also the last "nuke" took out the bots such as powerbot and epicbot. so yeah, it's safe to bot on that day using simba.

they should make a huge creator in the middle of varrock.

lol last 4 seconds before runescape update everyones screen will look up into the sky and see a huge mush cloud then log out.

I think it's fair to say that the bot nuke is very, very close. We had similar bonus with the first bot nuke.

I honestly don't think it is Optimus. Because they mentioned specific locations, I believe it is just one of their "Wild Weekend" things, or something similar. Optimus wouldn't be in only Ardougne, Catherby, and the Grand Exchange. It will be some kind of special event I think.

btw that's suck gonna go back in the old school technic… by myself (long and dirty way to maxedcape -_—-' )

Anyway as mentioned earlier in a post optimus is targeted at reflection/injection so we dont have to worry at all. (except if u r planning to train prayer/herblore..)

In response to the anagram thing, I took each letter from:
'See The Future, Spread The Word, Grand Exchange, Catherby, Ardougne' and wrote them down alphabetically.

Secondly I wrote a number in numerical order under each, 1-52.

Thirdly, the only letters used once are B, F, P, Q, W, X and Y.

B=6
F=22
P=35
Q=36
W=50
X=51
Y=52

If you add B, F, P and Q together you get 99, a significant number in rs.

The remaining letters, W, X and Y = 153, however I have found no significance for this number. That being said, W, X and Y are coordinate letters.

So I entered the B, F, P and Q numbers (6,22,35,36) into the rs coordinate finder as so: 6 degrees, 22 minutes south - 35 degrees, 36 minutes east.

This points to a position in the black area on the east side of the kharidian desert near Nardah.

If you look at the leaks section on the Runesape Wikia, there is a map leak from the Jagex YouTube channel. This shows an island in this exact place.

It says in the Q&A that Optimus is their next generation of bot killing, and that they are "also" working on removing the remaining screen-scraper bots. Implying that it's not their priority, and it's a side project.

How exactly would they target color bots? I doubt the Optimus bot nuke is going to introduce LSD Coloor Spasm Runescape.

Yah. I was kinda angry at that..but..oh well, no optimus! :)

In other news, prices of rares continue to drop in expectation of Optimus happening. I never thought I'd see the day that rares became a bad investment, but my santa is worth only about 3/4 what i bought it for :crying:

Only recently I saw they added GetFocus{} to the code, basically to see what window is getting the focus. If NULL is returned that means another windows besides RS has the focus. When this is the case normally no skilling activity should take place. If there is XP gain for 5 minutes, while GetFocus returns NULL all the time, that means you are botting, and thus get banned.

Is there a way to artificially make getfocus true?
