SRL Archive - Who Are You ? Who ? Who ?

I haven't played RS since last August, when my membership expired. I logged back in for the first time today and was like O.o . I'd like to get back into scripting (never did finish my ectofuntus runner…), but I'd like to know what all's changed around here first:

1. What's new in RS since last August? I like the armor graphics update, but what's with the wheel of fortune thing?

2. What's new around here? Last I heard Reflection was going to get a big overhaul. Did that go through, and how did it go?

3. What's the deal with Java bots? I heard there was a huge nuke a while back that killed 'em all. Are they coming back, or down for good? (please be the latter *fingers crossed*)

EDIT: I also noticed while looking at the Grand Exchange site that the prices of most rares have dropped pretty significantly in the last 6 months (as far back as the graphs go). What's the deal there?

1. Someone bought 75 spins and got no rare so result is buying gold with $20
2. Yeah reflection is gone but there are few walking methods that work very good.
3. Rsbuddy got down the site and all @rsbuddy emails. Some bots are still up but either have a ban rate or are keyloggers.

A new company bought RS? That's news to me for sure. So does that mean Jagex has no more involvement in the game? If so that's sad news, their story writers and music composers were great.

no they're still jagex, just new owners

they have a new quest relase this month, as well as a quest they release a while ago once you complete you can take part n what is the new fight cave, which if you have a fire cape you can trade it in for a better cape with a higher str bonus.

Hrm, I really want to know what happened to rares… I bought my Santa as an investment some time last year, and now it's worth about 20m less than what I got it for :(

Less people botting -> Less people with money -> Lower demand for rares
