Hey, I was wondering if anyone might know how to help me or assist me. I'm trying to take this image I edited and I'm stuck. I layered the image with a red colour, but I now want the excess red (that's not over the image itself) to get removed so it's a white background. Help/advice/etc. welcomed! :)

Here's the image:

If you are using photoshop you can use the lasso tool to cut out the render, but it might take a while. I think this is too complicated for the magic wand tool but you can try that if you want. Once you have the outline of the guy, just invert your selection and press delete.

I suggest you just start again….

It would take forever to revert the changes.

Use curves to make the black darker then highlight a little of the red spot then then go to Select > Modify > Expand it will expand then after that most of the red will be selected go to Select > Smiliar it should select only the red colours. Hope it helps :)

and you're welcome ~

Mm thanks for the advice everyone, I figured out some sufficient effects to use it for an upcoming project that I'll unveil on the 22nd of March. Cheers :>

The MAGIC wand tool is your BEST friend here… it took me 30 seconds to get all the red out using this tool…
