So if your S.M.A.R.T doesn't load, the following image will help explain.

This error (problem) is quite common for some people if you dont get this error you may be on the wrong post. But carry on anyway.
Remember to at least try every step until SMART finally loads.

THE STEPS:
* Try to open RuneScape in your web browser when RuneScape updates.
* Reinstall Simba
* Reinstall JRE
* Run Simba as Administrator.

* Run Simba with compatibility mode (Windows Xp Service Pack 2)

^^^This Step actually fixed it for me



HOW TO RUN SIMBA WITH WINDOWS XP COMPATIBILITY!

The following pictures and instructions are done with Windows Vista, but im sure you would be able to follow it.

First Step, find your Simba Shortcut on your Desktop and Right Click -> Properties: (JUST FOLLOW THE IMAGES)

I tried all of the above, thanks for the tut man but it didnt work for me. Im running win7 x86

NEVERMIND! thank god you made this. I switched the compatibility mode and it didnt work at first but than I restarted and BAM! I saw smart for the first time in years! thanks a lot man! :)

I'm running Windows 7 Enterprice x64. I had used Simba semi-regularly last Winter, but have since stopped even playing RS until recently..

Trying to get Simba set-up again was one of the BIGGEST PAINS IN THE ***.

Lots of problems with SMART. First, there was the "Error at line 100" problem. I solved that by installed Java 6u31 and adding it to the Path variable alongside my normal settings. That worked.

Then I got MSVCR100.dll error (or whatever the name of it is). Solved that by installing the C++ library (for x86 systems even though I'm on a x64).

Then, SMART got stuck after parsing the loader.jar. Just as this thread described.

That was fixed for me, my running in compatibility mode with Windows XP Service Pack 2.

Jesus Christ. Why is it so difficult to get things up and going?

Did not work for me ,still taking like 15minutes to show up SMART and sometimes it just loads black screen…

Note, this just worked for me guys, these are just a suggestion.
and btw i run a 32bit (x86) pc.

I love you sooooooo much! I was getting very frustrated with my smart but you helped me fix it!!!! All i had to do was change the compatibility mode. <3 <3 <3

EDIT: DOESNT WORK FOR ME, reinstalling simba

Yeah, Smart in win7 compatibility and administrator worked

but now it has broke again :'(

Nice tutorial dude. Unfortunately people often find these kind of errors and make new threads about the problem.. Sometimes they don't manage to load the whole cache and in my opinion you should have the fps (frames per second) side bar..

Compability mode worked for me. Hadn't seen SMART in weeks. Thanks man.

95 percent of the time, if SMART doesn't open, it means your Runescape is out of date. Go to www.runescape.com and reload the client. When it gets to the login screen, try and run the script again.

Tried every single method and still no result.

Just a reminder, this is what i just did to fix this, i do not know much about S.M.A.R.T and how it works, so if it doesn't work for you tough luck.
