and then i open the link and it tells me that i needed to install java plug-in, but i didnt installed it coz i know u can get ratted when u do, so if u get a pm like this dont click it u will get rated and hacked.

The sad part is that they can create a new account in a matter of 30 seconds.

Had the same thing happen to me twice, one about a mobilising armies script and one about getting stuck.

ive had one in secret for ages but got (i) rings twice now and dont use it

No I don't think so. But it asks u to download something which has a RAT.

Couldn't we impose IP ban? They can still do through proxy but that would be slower.

Is it true that you can NEVER get a virus/rat just by visiting a webpage (but not allowing anything to be installed when prompted to)?

You just get a window that pops up over your webpage that asks if you would like to trust this site always, for using their java plugin. I experienced one on Flight's livid farmer thread, just as [J]ustin pointed out; http://villavu.com/forum/showpost.php?p=988382&postcount=483

Whenever any of you ever gets a PM like this, report the post and PM an admin or a moderator!

Things like this is very important to report about. Good job to the topic creator :) rep+ for that.

Always remember that villavu is a completely open and free community. We'd never like to do any harm to you or any of your belongings what so ever.

already banning quite a few of these but as i cant (and am legally not allowed to) snoop in PMs, report them so we can ban some more. Dont have IP ban permissions else they'd have an IP ban by now.

edit: Dutch ISP, quite a few legit people (Laurens, Hermpie) so cant just ban entire range
