Ever sit in school/work and pray your bots haven't crashed and hope when you get home they are still running?:duh: Do you own a smart phone? If you have answered yes to both of these questions your worries are no more!:spot:

In this tutorial I will be showing you how to connect your computer to your iPhone 4S useing Teamviewer to manage your bots while you are away(You do not need a wifi connection:thumbsup:).

First you will need to download and install Teamviewer on your computer you wish to connect you.

http://www.teamviewer.com/en/download/index.aspx

Once you have TeamViewer downloaded and installed open it.

Now its time to get the APP on your phone.

Now you have the APP installed on both the computer your connecting to and your smart phone open up the app on your phone.

Type in your TeamViewer ID and Password and hit Remote Control button on your smart phone.
If everything has worked properly you should never have to worrie about your bots not running while you are away you can simple just check them!

Because teamviewer will connect useing your phone connection. 3g.

This is alright, but I honestly think teamviewer is buggy and a bit slow especially because most people don't open up the ports for it and it goes through their servers.

I'd reccomend if you're using any other OS other than windows to just setup a pass protected VNC daemon and open up the WAN ports on your router for it.

Great guide nonetheless :)

I've always wondered if this was possible and in a way knew that it was possible as there were a few apps that say you can view your computer/control it through your smart phone.

Just a precaution… becareful of your phone being stolen/lost. The more info you store in your smart phone the more info a theif will be able to get. For example if you do online banking through your phone, there goes your bank info. If you control your computer, there go more private information… and so on and so on.

Smart phones are great, but speaking from experience, becareful not to lose/ get it stolen. It's a huge pain in the ass, I'd know…

Teamviewer promps you for the password to connect to your computer everytime you open it.

You can install an app and remotely wipe the phones data if you're using an Android. I've never had an iPhone so I don't know if it's possible with iOS.
__

I've used this before but my phone is old and the quality/performance wasn't the best. (LG Optimus v1)

There are also problems with the phone overheating, so I'd recommend not running it for a prolonged period of time.

nice work on the guide. :)

I sure hope so.
Once you get fucked over, you become extremely paranoid it will happen again and start becoming "careful". Haha I guess thats my case.

I was looking for this a while back. Before TV went iPhone. Had to get LogMeIn, don't regret it really and I still use it weekly for even more than botting.

Watch out if you have a data limit, simbas screen alone will push up to 10MB/s (not megabits.. BYTES!) over my LAN if I remote connect in, so I'm sure it'll be maxing out your 3/4g connections for howver long you have it up.

Hmm, would this explain for strange things happening to scripts?

grats

2012-06-28 11:33:02

Like a script lagging or something? I guess if it's capping out your home (it'll cap out the upload long before download) then it is possible it messes some stuff up, but I don't really think it would do much

I just meant if they have a data limit on their phone for like 5GB / month or something, that goes by super fast

Ezio Auditore da Firenze

2012-06-28 11:48:46

Yeah script lagging, cause I was at a mates house n checked up on it. Checked it again and it had completely stuffed up. I was using Riwu's domdaggs, which runs perfectly. Come back, auto retaliate was on (should be off), stuff was incorrectly withdrawn from bank, and the fight was over due to auto retaliate being on.

grats

2012-06-28 12:16:10

Yea, sometimes when lag happens it triggers peoples failsafes and such, which will -redo something they did, but with lag it already did it, it's just delayed.. so you can see where that would mess stuff up

it's possible that is happening for you, over LAN I am at 1gbps (125MB/s) so I'm far from capping it, on top of that it isn't using my actual internet speed, so I don't have those same problems but I see it happening :P

I recommend slashtop, you can even play rs on it whereas with teamviewer the graphics and color are very off

This is actually brilliant!

Before even coming across this thread, Ive done it myself.

At work, come lunch, nearly 6 hours from setup, I connect to my computer, and restart the script if needed, or setup another.

Absolutely brilliant.

Highly recommend.

Are they anyways of running bots specifically on your iPhone 6? Rather than running them on your computer and having to connect using TV or other such apps?

I doubt your phone could handle running runescape, also seeing as rs was designed for a computer, I'm not sure how it would run on your phone + theres always dat problem of not having SIMBA on your phone. Just stick with the comp mate.

I use remote desktop from Google Chrome. Used teamviewer for a while, but I think remote desktop is more stable. You should try that app too.

Someone on powerbot posted that he will try to run a bot on his phone he had a galaxy note 3 or something with lots of ram. It was a while ago and I don't think he has done it xD
In the future it might be possible though. I think there are linux versions that can run on phones that will also help a lot.
