What's up guys?

I'm Ouchie or you can just call me Mike which would be much easier. I have been lurking these forums for the last week or so reading up on coding with Simba. It seems like a pretty legit interface for autoing Runescape.

Anyway… I'm 22 years old. I am a college student in my Senior year for Information Technology with a focus on project management. I have taken several 400 level programming classes and I have been programming in C++ since I was about 16. I do plan on writing and releasing my own scripts. Not to auto Runescape… just for the challenge of doing so.

I can currently program in very few languages, but I can work them pretty well. I know C++ and Java. However with the construction of these two I feel like I can learn any quite easily.

So anyway… I look forward to contributing to this community and attempting to understand what the hell is going on.

Now the job of anyone that posts in this topic needs to attempt to convince me that I'm not too old to play Runescape.

Welcome! I'm 19 and still play RuneScape, I don't think 22 is too bad. I also know several 30+ year olds that play.

Welcome! I'm glad you have knowledge of other computer languages!

Hope you can contribute greatly to this community :)

P.S - there's no age limit for games ;)

I had to explain to my girlfriend what Runescape is. It made me feel like a loser. "I go around killing goblins. I have a pure. Yea that means low defense. Yea player killing."

I only recently started to bot after I stopped truly caring about my accounts. I still have a ton of fun with them, and I am attempting to build a perfect PKer. But its not like it was when I was 15.

Convince you that your not to old to play RuneScape? Games are about enjoyment and if that's what you get out of them then don't take any notice of anyone's opinions. Im currently 18 and plan to continue playing games for years to come. Games are only going to get better, don't let age get in the way of you having a bit of fun.

Welcome to SRL, like yourself im new and looking to script. Great community here so im sure you will enjoy it as much as myself.

I've been researching how to write Pascal and it looks entirely simple. Simba looks easy to program in, but impossible to perfect. I have been taking scripts and just looking at them for the last week while I'm bored at work. Seems simple enough.

I am nearing the end of this semester at school so if you don't see any major attempt at a script from me by May, it'll be coming after May. For now I'll be writing little scripts and have you guys look at them.

I play games… my girlfriend supports me being a gamer. However I play CoD and Skyrim and the such. We often get together and play games together. Its just Runescape… its so different. Outsiders don't understand how we derive fun from clicking.

My last program I have written was a program in Java that functioned exactly like Weatherbug. Started from scratch it would ask for a location, retrieve the latitude and longitude, retrieve an XML document from that location, extract the useful weather data from the XML, and then display the weather within a custom GUI. Took me a week of restless nights to write.

If you know Java and C++, you shouldn't have any real problem with Pascal. You just have to learn the syntax.

It looks simple enough. Procedures and functions are a bit difficult for me to wrap my head around. Its like classes in Java, they blew my mind.

Took German throughout high school and Spanish throughout college. I speak Spanish fluently. I live in Pennsylvania though so it's not a skill I utilize often haha
