I figure the way Jagex catches botters are by viewing MANY accounts do the same thing, and then figuring out the pattern and putting a hit on all of them (or the most obvious ones 12 hours+)

Would Jagex catch you if you used static clicking for your account only; would this fall into Jagex's automated filters of macroing or is it only when static clicking is mass available does it get banned?

Dumb question… I know, I am just puzzled and have been wondering if this has ever been tested?

Probably, otherwise there wouldn't be an effective way to stop mouse recorders (which have been known to give out bans).

dont do it, i used a mouse recorder once to see how long it took to get banned and it took like 2 weeks and it was done

Used the same Macro every day :S

I guess we are just lucky, I never got banned using static walking in a miner i made a while ago (used it for a good 2 months, then scraped it when I saw YoHoJo's miner :P)

Idk I just used static simply because it had a very very low chance of failure.
