SRL Archive - Banned from RS

So my pure got banned alittle while ago, I was powerchopping willow trees at draynor and after 4days of 18/4 botting the account got banned somehow (I think this is odd cuz ive been botting range with crashsmart for DAYS without no infractions!! :duh: )
Any tips about what to write or say? This is my first ban ever and im not sure on what to do :(

You won't get unbanned… And if you do, you'll be very lucky. All the accounts that I have permanently banned, with no ban lift date… are still banned, years later. Were you F2P power-chopping willows?

That's your problem right there… Moderators do rounds in F2P Draynor Willows like it's their job. That's the worst spot to bot in this whole game if you ask me.

That's really bad to hear, when I was banned for the first time. I told them that my account got hacked and due to goldfarmers, my acc was used to work for them. The next day I was back in the game but this was 3-5 years ago.

Think I should try with this one, I wasnt using the account for weeks before I made that chopper

Yeah man, unfortunately… it really was the spot that did it, not the bot. Anyway… best of luck with the appeal. I hope you can get it unbanned, unlike any of my old accounts.

You could of also been banned for autoing range, but I agree with Toxin, it was most likely that spot.

like Toxin said, chopping willows in draynor village has an extremely high bannrate, even higher for f2p.
I'm sorry for your account, but it's very very unlikely that they will unbann it :(

Try appealing with some random wikipedia paste or maybe a double middle finger? Maybe a miracle might happen.

Is there any other good willow locations in F2p though? I mean I tried just north of draynor closer to port sarim, but the bot ended up clicking on a willow across the water.

I have a bot that I made for draynor oaks, I'm gonna update it soon, but would mods be checking that area too?

Botting on a F2P account wasnt smart in the first place, sorry to hear the bad news thats the risk you take for botting.

I botted 93 woodcutting in draynor, botting like 12-15h dialy :/ And being f2p so you have been unlucky, good luck apealing

can you post the code of your powerchopper?
I can look in and try to find which part of the script caused detection

Pretty sure they are. If you get caught botting f2p it's almost 100 % permban. You get rolled p2p.

You should avoid botting on bot hotspots.

Logging out, waiting 1-2 minutes until mod leaves


My bot is logging out quite often cause the mostly botted areas are crowded of mods. Think fagex is annoyed that Runespan is botted that bad. :)

I botted at those willows near port sarim. 3 or 4 accounts up to 90 woodcut. Each bot would run for 20 hours a day, I'm pretty sure they are still good to go.
Sorry to hear you got banned, you must of just been unlucky and a mod was doing rounds.

just live and learn. nothing you can really do about it except that. if your going to bot in major ban hotspots like draynor willows. you should babysit or make him p2p.

did you try the willows in remmington? i find those to be ok, but they still get checked every so often. thats normally where i camp when i need to make a wcer.

I dont think they will unban you. They will just check the IPs. IP address can be changed if its dinamic, but net provider… it will be kind of suspicious to have the same net provider.
And my opinion is: botting in f2p at crodwed places = instant ban.

Just say you was hacked by a family member, that you use the same computer as the family member and he/she keylogged the computer. ;)

There are a few places other than draynor to chop willows.

Those types of bot methods always have a high ban rate. I remember there was a spot on the forum where you could ask to be rollbacked instead. Not sure if it's still there.

Have you witnessed the mods coming into runespan? If so where?

If I were you, I wouldn't even try appealing, and just start over, and take precaution this time. Like have a couple accounts for the wealth and items just incase the others get banned, and bot smart, etc. But overall, I'd leave the appeal.

Karma is a bitch. Gl getting unbanned for botting (nearly impossible) :D
