Do you get the rares by doing this?

E: it works! But extremely hard to get a rare.

" if you want to spin faster, just double-click the big, red button to stop the wheel early!"

The item you get is selected when you open the wheel, not when you click the red button.

Just open it, double click the damn red button to get this over with, and hope for the best.

Won a pair of Lucky Dragon Claws a few hours ago. ;) That doesn't mean I like the SoF though.

Sure about that? If this is true, I will not even try writing a SoF routine.

100% sure, it was on the official rs forum. It completly random. The moment at which you press the red button is irrelevent.

There was a glitch though when the wheel came out that alowed you to stop it when you wanted, and it would really override the previous item that you should have won, but they fixed it within a couple hours.

Edit: I can't find the source. It was in the faq I believe. Anyway if you want to check for yourself, just check the speed of the wheel and the time it takes to stop from the moment you press the red button.
You will notice that it's random, most likely to allow the wheel to "make it" to the correct pre determined slot without slowing down ackwardly for no apparent reason.

I tested this with like 10 spins from monster drops and D&D's, it is predetermined at the start of the spin, I would often double click the button to recieve and item on the complete other side of the prize line.

The ability to buy spins is the worst update in Runescape history. In a year they'll be selling items outright.

The items you receive aren't based off timing the spin its based off a percentage.

So essentially just spam clicking the button gets the spins done quicker so you don't have to sit there and watch it.
