umm use the var in SRL that controls the mins.. and subtract it?

easy :p

you could do it with any script.. you could reset a scripts stats to 0 if you know how :p

and make an option that to make the scipt run it is required you have a srl stat user and pass… this way we can keep track of this stuff.

This was discussed when we were implementing the Global Stats system in the first place. I'm not surprised that this has happened. The fact is that we are all part of a 'cheating community', and I realize that puts me in company with some people that have no sense of respect for others or responsibility for their own actions. The kind of people that given the opportunity would log into random RS accounts and get them banned, just for a kick.

We see it all the time with people getting their accounts stolen by others here on these boards if they accidentally leave their account info in a script they post. It sickens me every time it happens.

My global stats were hacked before to add 'Accounts Banned 187' as one of the stat categories. I was thinking "Why pick on me?" at the time. Why target one of the most successful scripts that has been generously released for free to these forums? But I didn't make a fuss about it because I didn't think it was a big deal, and I didn't think people did it to be hurtful.

But what can I think about someone that purposely screws up the total time running on SOMEONE ELSE'S script? A script that many other people have used for months and months of play time and has generated a sense of community? There is no excuse for this. If you just want to mess around and try something out, you can make your OWN script stats and screw it up. This was intentional and cruel, and there is no excuse. I see it as a direct attack on the SRL community more than anything else.

I have full confidence that this situation will be appropriately addressed by the Admins here on the boards, and I will not be publicly commenting on this again.

I can see why you are pissed off and i aswell take it as an attack and severly sorry for suggesting this on these forums.

I did not know that some people are just plain out ignorant(and i guesse i was being pretty ignorant to.).

I mean if they want to test it out if they can change stats they should make there own script and not attack someone elses…

the main reason i bet they picked you is because your number one in stats.

It's not the stats that worries me, it's the people who did this, tommorow if they found the bug in forums, they would use it and delete all posts.. why? Just for fun…

I realise they're just children, they're still growing but they should already know to differ making harm from having fun. Doing damage is not nice, think of yourself as a victim, would you like if someone did same thing to you? Think before you act! I feel sorry for all of you…

tara did give them the finger… they took the whole arm…. but tara has another arm and this time he is not givin them the finger(depends on which finger XD)… instead he is givin them a fist to the face.

O trust me, we got his IP, all we need to do is match that IP against last logged IPs of all users and his name will pop out.

It would be better if he excused himself, rather than playing cat and mice. We will catch him.

and wizzy the reason he doesent have abs.. is cause he makes it check if its over the num 0 first and anything in the neg is under 0…

someone just took that part out and changed the stats to be as they wished…

I think Wizzup? said earlier that he thought he addressed Dankness on this issue, and I think now they will start working on it.

The SRL Stats project was handled out because we thought people would know how to respect something that was given for free and would not try to exploit our kindness…

This is the reason why people stop making free stuff.

all they can do is log the ip and ban them when they do it.

cause any smart scripter…

could easily send fasle info to the server…

i knew it would happen jusy not when….

Dankness and I are already working on a system that would stop people from sending false infos…

Ok, other then seriously pissing me off abusing the srl stat system does nothing. ATM Jukka has recieved a 7 day ban for this. If i find anyone else abusing this system they also will recieve a ban possibly a perm ban and a IP ban. I know there are exploits in this system but you get what you pay, in our community we should have some form of honor amongst ourselfs, The SRL Stat system is a product that not only have i donated my time to write i also pay the bills for the server resources it eats every month, if it keeps getting abused i will remove it and possibly remove the forums as well so keep that in mind.

When you are/if you are making new stats system/or upgrading(or whatever :D)….make it so that if you have script registered then you can reset the stats…! It would be great…atleast id need it…!

We have not banned everyone involved. danrox2004 tried to mess with Tara's script DIRECTLY after Wizzup? said to stop. He deserves punishment to.

So, with my understanding of the problem, you can track people using SRL client side? Or is it when they submit stats that the IP is logged…
