IsUpText just doesn't cut it...

It's pretty noticable that when a lightly coloured object is blocking the text area (This actually happens quite a lot) the text won't be found. Can I suggest using DTM's of letters instead of BMP's? DTM's seem to work a lot better for me, so it would be nice if they were used instead..
Just the white text should be enough :/
It's an idea that might help, or might not.. I haven't really tested it much but consider it :)

i use option2(text:string);

that seems to always work for me, even if there is light things behind the text..

nice idea tho

well, if you make it, then maybe they will take it in?

Heh nah I usually waste a lot of time making un-needed procedures.. I've used a combination of the text finding procedures but it didn't find the text for me..

well if option2 works still then leave it be.

this means isuptext is obsolete.

all you really need to do is take a bitmap of each letters outline and make it another text like font2 and such and then use it as that thatd work real well haha get the shadow that way theres never a problem :P

function Option2(s : String) : Boolean;
var
tempx, tempy : Integer;
begin
Result := IsTextInAreaEx(0, 0, 515, 25, tempx, tempy, s, 100, UpChars, True, False, 0, 1, -1);
end;

function IsUpText(UpText:string) : Boolean;
var
tempx, tempy : Integer;
begin
if(IsTextInAreaEx(7, 7, 334, 20, tempx, tempy, UpText, 100, UpChars, True, True, 0, 2, -1)) then
Result:=True;
end;

yeah, for now i would use option2, it doesnt have the outline parameter turned on

I use both:

if (IsTextUp(text)) and (Option2(Text)) then
result:= True;

Shouldnt it be or instead of and?

Well, it could be. But that just double checks the text. Unless Option2 is completely reliable?

Yeah Kane, but what if IsUpText doesn't find the text and Option2 does? Or vis-versa (however that crazy word is spelled) :p
I might not have tried Option2, I'll see if it makes a difference :)
