I consider myself intermediate with scripting and was wondering if anyone else looking for like minded people that want to use Skype to get through problems with scripting or even talk about RS, etc.

What would be ideal to me is like working on a script for several hours, passing it off when u go to sleep or w/e, have them work on it, pass it back. A few brains is always better than one and would effectively make some pretty sick scripts!

Only rule would be that nothing is to be released without everyone's consent.

Great idea, although not sure if you can more than 10 people on skype? If so it might get quite messy ;) Also a lovely idea to teach people how to script :O

Make an IRC channel unless you're going to be using a mic or something, it'll be much easier.

Not to discourage you, but I find group scripts projects are very stressful and not as efficient at getting done, rather than one person coding it.

Up to 25 people is allowed per skype calls, but yeah some can choose to talk on mic, some don't. :)

Using a mic would be ideal, but if not that's ok too, personally I would rather talk than type.

Group projects can be a good change of pace when people get sick of scripting solo :/

Sounds like a cool idea if your working on a big script that needs a lot of people like dung or a minigame

Aye, true that. On the other hand I'm sure it's fun to exchange ideas and work as a team. Some people are much better at certain aspects of a script than others might be, but could lack knowledge in other parts of scripting. Working together on a single script would give, hopefully, a greater chance of all parts functioning correctly.

Maybe if everyone was given certain tasks to do (ie create certain functions and procedures that did something specific).

I'm up for this! I have some webspace so we can upload the script to the webspace and pick parts out, change it slice dice and add it then we all have a copy without downloading ;) So it just looks like text?

I'm happy to say me and Home have been doing this for a while, although 95% of the time it ends up him helping me rather than me helping him, but we watch each other coding and make suggestions etc. It's really useful.
