Well I have a mage ranged hybrid on rs, with 40 def. What pray should I get 92 for soulsplit or 77 for rigour & augury?
92 = higher combat but more praypoints & ancient curses
77 = lower combat but dung prays
Rigour is at 74, Augury is at 77.
I have much the same question on a Range Tank with 99 def. Undecided on whether to keep Prayer at 77 or go for 92.

Got 77 pray on Storm pure. I would pick rigour and augury over ss and leeches.

If you can get dungeoneering up with no worries, I'd say 77. If you plan on just edge fighting a lot, then SS would be worth it. Also I really suggest getting at least 75 defence, for barrows and spirit shields.
I've owned a pure with 77 prayer, a tank with 74 prayer, and played on a friend's SS tank. I'd say rigour and augury are more fun to use, SS/leeches is just cruise control.

Yes I will get 80-85 def, ok then ill try to get augury and rigour and if i get bored I'll go for SS.

If you're planning on getting storm then 92 is definitely better, 74/77 if mainly using ranged. Trust me, i got one of both types of account.
Well with 40 defence you have close to no benefit from the defence boost. So I would go with 92 prayer ;) Leeching their stats is fun and leech run/spec can be helpful aswell. Be sure to bring morrigan's axes to drain their energy even more. No escape :D
