I followed every step completely in this guide http://villavu.com/forum/showthread.php?t=67879 and have no updates left available
Despite having a perfectly updated Program, when I "Run" or "Open>Play" MSI, the UI opens but when I try to interact with anything other than the 1/2/3/4/5 columns I get this popup
http://i.imgur.com/9ZYCK.png

Notes
-If I press OK, the popup closes and instantly reappears on my screen. If I press cancel, Simba crashes.
-I am running Simba as an administrator.
-I did google and use the search function on the forum before posting.
-I posted on the SRL Bugs forum because I did not have the permissions to post on the MSI bugs forum.
Edit:
-I am running Simba on a 64 bit computer running Windows 7
-I tried running Simba in compatibility mode for Windows XP which did not work.(Suggested by Chicken Dinner)

Hmmm, I too am getting this a lot recently but I don't use MSI.

Normally I just press OK and it goes away. Don't know how to fix it though sorry.

Have you updated everything?

Are you running Simba on a 32-bit or 64-bit computer?

You can try right-clicking Simba -> Properties -> Compatibility Tab. Then change it to run as a Windows XP program.

I'm running Simba on a 64 bit computer running Windows 7. I tried what you suggesting, but the error remains - except this time the program now instantly crashes after showing the error.

Set Simba to run in Windows XP Service Pack 3 compatibility mode. Next, set Simba to 'Run as Administrator'.

Thank you for your continued attempt at support, but sadly this does not work.

Here is the last resort:

Does Simba just not work outside of Windows XP?

Chicken Dinner

No, that's not the case. It's just that you may have downloaded the 32-bit version.

Before you follow the article, try this version of Simba, it is the 64-bit version.

http://www.moparisthebest.com/jenkins/view/Simba/job/Simba_Stable/lastSuccessfulBuild/artifact/SimbaInstaller.x86_64-win64.exe

That is the trusted link for automatic builds of Simba.

I was not aware there was a 64 bit version, I'm setting it up and will post when I finish

1. I enabled Extensions.sex and the client stopped responding and crashed.

2. I reopened Simba and Extensions.sex was successfully enabled, however I wasn't able to find an "Extensions Menu" option under the "View" tab
>Loading extension Extensions\extension.sex
Extension Enabled

3. I went on to the next step and attempted enabling srl.sex and associate.sex - which resulted in the same type of crash as before after enabling srl.sex.

4. I was able to enable srl.sex and associate.sex in the "View>Extensions" tab, but unlike in the last version of Simba, no SRL/SPS/MSI tabs come up beside of help. There is a new button under "View" named "SRL Menu"
>Error in Simba extension (SRL/SPS/MSI/Plugins Updater): Out of Proc Range
Loading extension Extensions\associate.sex
Extension Enabled
Error in Simba extension (Associate File Extensions (by Nielsie95)): Could not call proc

5. The SRL Menu button does not do anything

You may just have to run Simba under XP Mode. [https://www.pcworld.com/businesscenter/article/173759/get_started_with_windows_7_xp_mode.html?tk=rel_news]

Simba is very tricky to set up. I am working on fixes for it so it runs more stable and runs on more platforms.

I will be getting off soon, so just leave your posts here and I will get back to them whenever I can, or some one may come in and help you all.

@T Raw James, You should post the debug information that Simba leaves into the console. You can also post the Error logs from the Simba installation folder. ** Besure to remove any information you do not want shown in the public.

I'm able to click on the MSI UI now that I'm in XP Mode so this problem has been solved. I think this should be added to a sticky of common problems as a "last resort" fix like Chicken said.

I fixed the most recent error by installing the most up to date versions of JRE and JDK, while also having to update my MSVCP100.dll
Edit: I'm still getting lag in my autoing through the use of XP Mode - it would still be preferred if I could get a fix for Windows 7

Chicken Dinner

I am glad you have it fixed and working. Sorry about the lag though. I am still working on the fixes for Simba.
