Everyone check your runescape rankings, I went up in almost every skill which means……Mass ban! Probably mostly rarebot users banned

I haven't played in a week or so and I also went up…?

Sadly I don't know my previous rankings so I wouldn't know. At least none of my were banned.

:) nearly 2 weeks without botting just to do odd bits and pieces :)
No ban for me :)

Haha I went up 10k+ ranks in every skill. I guess someone's bad bots got mass banned, or just a lot of people didn't renew their members.

Is useful, though if you haven't used it prior to now it won't really help. Just bot the sig a few times with a public proxy site and you'll get tracked.

Green dragon bots and sorc garden bots were still there. And still as botlike as always.

They really did a mass ban? Wow, That's funny, I botted with my Ectoworship during whole night and this morning while I was at college :P

Wow, in all of my 99's I jumped way under the 100k ranks. I'm in the 20K rank for smithing now, wow.

None of my accounts got banned, so that's good. I'd assume it is a mass ban rather than people not renewing their members. I wonder if the injection/reflection client users were banned.

The membership thing was taken out February 22nd so that's not it.

Mass ban just before bxpweekend! I really hope so! Prices for stuff are gonna fly up if it was a mass ban on injection/reflection.

Haha I'm now in the top 5k for fire making on my main. I haven't trained this skill in about 2 years.

Im in the top 10k for agility and farming right meow! :D also I assume lots of thieving bots are gone rank 15k with 99

My account didn't get banned and it was going over night with crashsmart…..well back to botting i guess haha

It makes perfect sense to be honest, I had a feeling either a ban/nuke would happen before tomorrow.

This. Is why Simba is waaayy better than anything else out there! Did we get mass banned? Nope!

Hehe, I was in the 200k for overall XP and now I am in the 100k ranked bracket :-). I skipped 95k rank.

Edit: Also, I bought my stuff for gaining 20 lvls in herblore tomorrow. I want to reach lvl 90 in herblore :-) and I will get the last 6 lvl when I will feel like investing the last 50-100M to get it.

I wonder if there really was a mass ban or I'd it was something else.
Jagex normally like to announce these types of things to get the legit players happy about it and show their hard work against the bots.

I just went to the homepage and saw there was a news update 18 hours ago! Then saw it was just for some stupid bxpweekend tips…. :duh:

I highly doubt there was a mass ban at all. Usually the account help part of the official forum would've lit up with all sorts of people claiming they never botted but were banned erroneously etc. etc. and that hasn't happened.

If they were all gold farming accounts then you would be unlikely to see rank gains in not often botted skills like prayer or dung or herb. Could someone confirm or deny if they have gained significant ranks in these type of skills too?

If there havn't been gains in these skills then the only reason for a massive increase in rank is if when members unsubscribe to f2p they just built up a backlog of people that had unsubbed to remove from the highscores all at once, rather than removing and adding each account individually.

I disagree. I don't think that your explanation can prove the following :

My rank in last week w/ overall level : in the MID 39,000's.
My rank currently : in the 37,000's.

Looks like some main accounts got nuked to me. I'm still fine however… No sign of slowing down or stopping any time soon. I'm very very curious as to which bot was detected, because I am CERTAIN that something happened.

There's no way in hell I could have gone up 2k ranks from last week in just total level. I haven't even gained a level, just xp… Which even that was minimal.

I doubt that many people unsubscribed from Members, I made huge jumps in rank.

I wish I had kept track of my ranks. :(

i found the Armoured Zombies alone, i thoutght it was ecause AZK was down but now they were still alone until 4 5 hours ago

I don't think it was a mass ban, I haven't heard about thousands of people getting banned on any other forum. Not sure what the explanation could be though. maybe people that haven't logged in for x amount of days are excluded from the highscores until they log in again??

Well I'm not sure it's that because free to play users aren't included in the highscores, something definitely happened not neccessarily a mass ban..

On the other forums I'm seeing a lot of "hacked" threads about epicbot and rarebot

Can't be the log out for 'x' amount of days. The only way a user is no longer included in highscores is if they're F2P. And in my opinion, there's not a chance that that many users didn't have auto-renewal on their membership, or didn't get it again after it ran out.

My f2p, completely botted account is still not banned, or have any marks on the ban metre. Simba FTW! Also, this account has done strange things while writing my Iron miner, and has done around 24 - 26 hours of running it :)

The only thing else I can think of is a massive stat reset.

im also curious to know what happened but maybe people stopped botting because they heard the rumors about another nuke this week. From what i can tell you, I stopped botting on all of my 5 bot pure accounts and even on my main. I just wanted to feel safe.

My main is f2p now since about 1 month and it's still in HS. So losing membership don't make you deleted from HS or I have special privilege :p

It's a mass ban. Item prices on the GE have been increasing hugely over the past 3 days. An item I use used t be around 2000 now sells for around 3000!

edit: giving it a second thought, this could be due to the bonus weekend…

I think the theory about the backlog of unsubscribed accounts is the most likely or maybe they have banned chinese gold farmers which is why we haven't heard anything about it.

I'm pretty sure they didn't ban the old reflection bots…

If you watch RuneShark's most recent youtube video, they mention the fact that 30k+ players were taken off the high scores all together…and during their video, 33 more fell off the high scores :p

This is my guess to what happened. AFAIK all the users here that only used Simba are perfectly safe.
