problem solved. scripts running and working.

You need SRL5. Change that program to this

program new;
{$DEFINE SMART}
{$DEFINE SRL5}
{$i srl/srl.simba}

begin
SetupSRL;
end.  

ok i tried using the script you just posted and i got this

Exception in Script: Unable to find file 'C:\Simba\Includes\srl/srl.simba' used from ''

this may sound stupid… but i have noticed 2 plugins folders, i placed the SMART files into only one of these folders, shall i place those files in both folders?

EDIT: i tried it again, closed simba and browsed around for some fixes, found nothing. simply reopened simba and tried the exact same script you just posted. i highlisted it and copy/pasted it into simba. and i get the same problem i got the first time…

Exception in Script: Too many nested include files while processing 'srl/srl.simba' from 'C:\Simba\Includes\SRL/SRL/misc/smart.simba'

i am positive i copy/pasted YOUR script and not the one i posted in the first post. so confused at the moment…

EDIT: ok so i've scrapped the code altogether… and re-checked to make sure all extensions were updated, i opened MSI, did not change any part of the code and clicked run, i got the same message. too many nested include files.
