i just got hacked by epicbot!!??##@@ and i lost 2016m…… effing noobs. i was botting firemaking and when i took a break and logged in again my account was in lumby bank, my account was untouched, except my money pouch………. why did epicbot do this??

Goodfight son, EpicBot is sh!t and I always though they were fishy.

Edit: and the reason why epicbot does this is the gold farmers need some free $$.

im 100%, i could also be simba but i dont think so. this hack is really the work of a gold farming buisness cuz they didnt take my account, so it must be epicbot. i havent been hacked for 6 years until this day. and this was the first day using epicbot! damn noobs

Sorry, but it's true. And EpicBot didn't hack you lmao. It's also not an 'inferior' bot - it's actually quite good. Simba may be better, but EpicBot is still very smooth, stable, and reliable from what I've used.
I even have a recent 10 hour proggy from them to prove it.

I'm soo sorry to hear this but the thing that happened here is:

1. You donwloaded an infected copy from somewhere else.
2. You downloaded something else that keyloged you.
3. You recorded your log in details when it asks you to.

Tip: Always log in using a screen typer. I use it only when i log in using a macro/bot. Even for simba. And make sure you set up a bank pin. Stay safe.

u shouldnt use epicbot in the first place, now you have to deal with the consequences

u first have to be sure (or almost?) that a new botting method is worth the risk

I didn't read all of the posts in this thread, but did your normal items get sold in the GE? If it were Jagex they'd simply delete them, if you really were hacked then probably your items were sold in the GE then the money transferred.

Man How can u bot with epicbot having a good bank when all bot related forums are full of threads of "epicbot hacked me"…. I can't think that you have lost 2b, I would say it's notrue. No one with 1billion or more would trust of these "new" bots.

i have never read anything about epicbot hacking. and i have never thought of a bot client hacking WTF! i thought i could trust those people. i gave my 2241 total account to my friend, i play maplestory now rofl!

Ive used EpicBot both pre and post nuke but now when I hear everyone getting hacked and stuff I only login with a ScreenKeyboard on EpicBot, havent spared any information on about my accounts either. So if they are up to hacking they have to record my clicking on the screenkeyboard too ;D

Uhh that shouldn't be too hard. They programmed a java bot… If they want to get where you clicked they would have it by now. BTW the reason you haven't gotten hacked yet is because they are busy hacking other peoples accounts. They WILL get to you if you continue.

I was here asking before you were complaining. But yeah the person who made the bot has to be fucking brilliant to come up with keeping it updated so people would use it.

I shaped up RyGuys astral script a whole lot and im doing 3.9k runes with it now at 77runecrafting :) Hopefully someone will help me with duel ringing in the help section soon so I can get Nat crafter to work :<

Change your password again… But not from the computer you downloaded Epic Bot on. Do it from your phone like i do. You can also use the virtual keyboard to enter your password in like the search bar then copy it and paste it into a txt document then just copy and paste it into the password slot every time you want to login. Or just change your password from your phone after every time you login if you think your computer has been compromised. Maybe it's just because i am very protective but this is what i do.

I would not be surprised at all if this was the case! Sounds like a good idea to weed out all(or most of) the botters for good.

Yup, I've used several bots like powerbot(rsbot) never got hacked by using powerbot. Then powerbot was down for a few days and epicbot was updated already so I downloaded epicbot and used it, found myself hacked after 2 months of inactivity with my bank pin still on the bank. 106 million lost, I didn't care that much at the moment as I didn't get the money in a legit way either so yeah lol.

I don't think epicbot would change the password to your epicbot login, and i doubt they would have changed your rs password either, most people just take your stuff without bothering about password changes. i have used epicbot since pro dung released, havent been hacked, as of yet, and i dont think i ever will.

simba is not down, cant go down, it is not working as it should, but it still works if you do some research.

Rule of thumb: Read the scripts before you run the scripts.

My only question is:

Simba has player.txt files for MSI and our passwords are usually saved in scripts that we TRUST. Can bots like powerbot and epicbot go through our files to find such useful stuff?

Topics like this are ones I feel should be bumped to keep people from downloading EpicBot and getting their pixels stolen. If they do it anyway then it's their own fault, but at least this is a good warning.

For those that keep saying gravedig…Its not really a gravedig because it is not that old. Its relatively new there is just a gap between the post on july 3rd and the 16th (13 days). Most gravedigs are like month spans+ not week longs spans between posts.
Idk what the specific rule is but I dont think it qualifies as a gravedig. As for OP it sucks, but nothing more you can do but move on. Sorry to hear but nothing we can do for you.

LOL! I got hacked for 2m on my noob and i only used the bot a handfull of times. Epic bot was the only thing I ever entered my noobs password on besides runescape its self. so.. just an assumption you have there

Well I'm sorry to hear bout ur loss but you gave the client your password and username.. Epicbot only hacks you if u have the acc info in your client..

It seems to be more like phishing rather than hacking, I mean you are basically handing over your information. It's not like the script is really stealing it. lol
