SRL Archive - Bot Information and Spottings

Since I really don't know much about RS anymore, what's the best monster to kill in order to get them?

I'm level 95 as of now. Should I wait until I get a higher combat level to go hunting for them, or is this ok?

Any help is appreciated!

I've heard that the lvl 138 cave crawlers drop them a lot, but that's all I've heard!

yeah they were best droppers. it was like meele+ cannon = 1 effy/hour but now idk the rates after effy updates, and they are really rare now.

I see, well Tormented Demons are an option then if possible do Cave Crawler (level 138), they are found in the desert slayer dungeon after completion of Smoking Kill, cannoning is recommended, but with that comes geepees.

The drop rate of effigys is based on the combat lvl on the monster you kill, lower combat lvl = more kills :)

I rarely get effigies when camping at a monster.

The only ones I get (and quite often) is whilst doing slayer. I'm 99 slayer so the kind of monster may have a big influence on the drop rate.

A bit of luck is actually all you need :)

I'm currently doing slayer, it's been awhile since I've done it and it's really fun. I'll just keep slayering away and hopefully I get some :p

Ganodermic beasts drop a lot for me http://runescape.wikia.com/wiki/Ganodermic_beast they have high requirements to kill though.
I make good GP there too, about 2mil an hour

No.. Mummies have the highest drop rate for effigies.. Then comes cave cawlers.. then Ganodermic beasts.. I know because I used the mummies thing before it became limited.. Maxed CMB as well..

Mummies are also lvl 10 and all u do is cast chaos spell on them and it's insta kill.. AND they NEVER stop attacking u.. It's the mummies in Azandra's pyramid or something like that..

I use cockroach soldiers for charm and effigy collection :) also turn about a 200k an hour profit :) lot of crims and a effigy here and there :)

This. I've heard about them as well they are level 138 combat but have 10hp (100lp)

The mummies are the fastest, economical way to get effigies. They were 1 effigy every ~55 mins before the update.

Also if you choose to hunt effigys at mummies use it to level Mage or range :) chin or blitz or even barrage :) still an effy every few hours

Huh, mummies? Where exactly can I find these ones at? I looked them up on wikia and there are two pyramids listed. I don't know hardly anything about RS anymore lol.

I'm 99 mage and just got 76 range through slayer, what would be the most ideal setup for this? I'm currently using black knives, have get a ton of xp from them.
