I have a few points/questions. I just want some thoughts/answers. This is in the Discussions & Debates section. Please don't try to get anyone in trouble. Thanks.
This guy posted an encryption string of a script he wrote. He gave the algorithms he used to encrypt the script. (He didn't want leechers)
First question/point. This isn't against the rules because the script DID NOT contain obfuscated code. The script itself was encrypted. It must be decrypted before it can be used.
Second question. Later on this guy posted a link to the script, without the author's permission. Is this against the rules? Or maybe he got around it by posting a link.. The author didn't really post the script; he posted the encryption string.
Next.. Do people get together and decide on good anti-leeching methods? Is there something at Villavu in the works? Does anyone want to discuss methods of anti-leeching? Give out passkeys, have them message you for the script, tests, etc. I've only seen anti-leeching done for public scripts.
I realize you may think this anti-leech method would fail, or that encryption has nothing to do with this scripting community. I don't mind if you post about that. I'm not really in the loop when it comes to anti-leech..
When I write encryption string, I am talking about the text of the script completely encrypted.

Script Restrictions
Scripts posted on the SRL forums must not contain any obfuscated or of a malicious nature in any way. If caught posting a password stealing script, you will be immediately banned.

Unauthorized Distribution of Scripts:
Do not post any scripts that you have not written yourself on any forum unless given permission from the original author; this includes edited or modified scripts. Doing so is theft of intellectual property and will not be tolerated here.
