Because 99% of the posts in the BBQ put are useless/spam etc.
If you have anything useful to say, don't use memes and don't curse then it can belong in the other sections and count towards your post count.

you could most likely say there are beginners who lurk around amusing/watching others' posts which are relevant to their interests but cannot put in the effort to post on a thread they know little about, so they come here instead to post where it doesn't matter who voices their opinion
