SRL Archive - Help

From all the scripts I've ran so far, none of them are able to complete random events (only recognize that they have occurred), and stop running when encountered.

I was wondering, is it even possible to pass them?

I was not around pre-bot nuke, so I also want to know if they were able to be passed during the days of reflection?

If not, then what was so great about reflection scripts in comparison to color?

(Edit to title: "+ Reflection" was supposed to go after "Bots")

Reflection/Injection bots still exist. And yes they could solve/many all of them. It's much easier for them since they can find stuff simply by ID/Model etc, while we use color etc so it's tougher for us.

You can see what randoms are working etc here:

Entire Section Here:

If you account gets stuck in a random you could (if you could be so kind!) PM the user/pass to a random developer and they will use it to further work on and complete our random solvers.

YoHoJo's first link only shows the status of the solvers in the beta release (no scripts use the beta release, it's up to the user). I'll probably merge the beta release with SRL by the end of the week.

Since you're referring to reflection/injection botters as "they", and color botters as "us" I'm assuming not even SRL members have access to these bots (So who does?)

Also, I wasn't aware there are people working on developing random completion codes, going to go look through that forum topic now.

I wasn't aware there were actually that many randoms already taken care of (in the beta), looking forward to the end of the week then.

SRL USED to use reflection/injection.

The recent nuke killed them off for a few months (and many others were sued for lots of $ and shut down).

SRL always was and always will be Color only.

There was a '3rd party' maintained reflection branch of SRL, but it no longer exists anymore.

We have always done it this way, and we just always will. Yea sure reflection/injection is better in many ways, but it's just not what we do here.

Anyone can use reflection/injection bots, I just find (the current ones at least) to be a bit shady. You can learn about them here:
http://sythe.org/forumdisplay.php?f=221
(A very shady, scammer full, and childish community for the most part :p but there is good into etc there too)

Interesting. Well i'm sure colour botting is much safer as well, as nothing is sent/injected to Jagex servers. Also if/once we're able to complete all randoms, it's basically complete botting all over again.
Thanks for your replies.

I thought we only read values from the client, pretty sure we never used injection

SRL doesn't have support for every single one although it is capable of solveing them (from what I've noticed while botting)

Im botting magic on my main, and I'm having ALOT of randoms and the injection bots cant solve the randoms :(

Used to use injection? When? o:
I know that used to use reflection, but never heard about using injection!
Could you please tell me more about it?

We didn't :p It was only reflection, we never modified the client, we only have SMART as it is. Not that it matters these days, no point going back to it for a long while.

Thats because most script uses old solvers, not the fixed ones ^.^~

Edit:

Reflection never solved all randoms either so can't really expect us to be perfect with just color.

The older bots were very good at solving randoms, as a matter of fact, they were just really good at running. Some of them I would end up running for about a week, before a runescape update forced me to stop.

However, they were extremely abused. And they weren't as nearly as great as the bots here at vilavu are.

The last point is very much arguable, it's merely a matter of preference; Java bots tend to require more upkeep, but are much more stable (while they are up, which as you can see recently, isn't all that easy) whereas colour, script depending, is less stable, but it can more or less go straight back into play once an RS update has finished.

Obviously colour shows its superiority here, and I'm very much in favour of the theory that colour can do everything reflection/injection could, it's just much more effort when it comes to extremely difficult tasks (and I'm sure at that point, they would require a considerable amount of constant work).
