Hey guys I am relatively new to these forums and want to learn scripting to some degree. I don't want to be considered a leech in this community as it is by far the best one I have come across. So could anyone who knows how I could learn scripting as in video tutorial or whatever please link me or tell me how to go about it?

The beginners section of the tutorial island would be a good place to start :)
You could try YoHoJo's video tutorials, they are quite good.
The main way I learnt to script (once I had the basics down) was to pull apart other people's scripts and figure out how each procedure/function worked.\
