So basically what are your thoughts about the game. I've heard so many mixed reviews from different people. And this I usually how it's broken down.
Rich/PvM players: hate it. It'll bring down the price of a lot of items.
Poor players: love it. It's a way for them to get those expensive items without actually needing or having the money.

Personally: I love it!! Now The prices will drop and I will be able to afford more of those items. :)

Well there was another thread, but yeah i actually wouldn't care less if it was there or not. It did drop the price of alot of expensive item, but you got to keep in mind that money making becomes alot harder this way. For example the armadyl godsword is dropping like hell. Yesterday they went down 1.1m! Anyway i'd say they should remove it.

Doesn't drop the prices of anything. The 'expensive' items are untradeable. The most amount of money you can win from the wheel is 10m cash or a uncut/cut onyx gem.

The 'lucky' items have the same stats. I read they also do not degrade.
Everyone is making the point of if you have a lucky divine, then get a divine from corporeal beast, you will sell it. And that, I guess, drops the price.

Edit: oh yeah, I also read on wikia you can win 50m. I wonder if that's true. (Edit: Doesn't appear to be true.)

Edit: Aw man I was super close to winning a rare!

Yea the expensive items are untradeable yeah… But… Let's say I'm saving up for an ags then I get a lucky ags I will no longer by the ags making one less buyer and one more seller. Prices will start to drop if they haven't already trust mwooa

Actually, people are just panicking as usual. Runescape is a large game, there being like 100 people who wont do something wont crash an item. The public panicking about something will. People don't think, they just act.

I can only imagine how mad you will become, when your def pure finally hits 99 defence, followed by getting that katana from the squeal of fortune :O.

What's wrong with getting the katana? :o Doesn't it have the same stats as a godsword?

Yes, but having a def pure means you will never were it. And by the rules of this minigame you aren't able to trade it either ;). Also I hear non-Members get rare items more often than members, if so, than this is just a trick to lure them to buy members.

I personally like this new game update! it is great and if it can affect the price of some High valuable items, it is good also. Also, I wonder if they will add party hat one day in this squeal of fortune, It would be a lot more interesting this way to get free member to pay for member ship just to get a chance to win a party hat.

your making the assumption that everyone who wins an AGS was going to buy one anyway… which is really far from the reality.

And if they were to add party hats and santas that would cause chaos in the game. And I'm pretty sure they won't do that. At least I hope they don't I know I wouldn't like it anymore.

Remember when AGS was ~70m each?

The auspicious katana pisses me off. It has most of the stats a godsword does (I don't think it has a special..?), and a level 75 attack requirement I read. It would have been awesome to wield that on your defense pure. Another.. useless.. duplicated.. cosmetic weapon. Just ranting.. anyone get one yet?

I actually haven't been on since the update. Been on base :). But hopefully I'll get home either this week or next week to try it out. Maybe if I'm lucky I'll get one first spin :)

I don't like the update, also I think it's rigged.

(mad because I didn't get the super rare item on first roll, etc.)

The players receive the item they already have, let's say an AGS, they sell off the one they already have and keep the untradeable. Either way Squeel of Fortune is just a pain in the ass and a gimmick for Jagex to make more money.

It's going to ruin the economy nonetheless. People who think "Oh yay, prices will drop" are going to be in for a nasty surprise soon.

alexes

2012-03-05 04:14:10

It won't ruin the economy, it's really hard to get rare items or good amount of cash. And items as gs… are not tradeable. So it wont affect on prices.

In this items Demand > Offer for 10-50 players who dont buy it, this wont change.

i saw a lucky torva on youtube

one1988

2012-03-05 06:01:03

Lucky torva would nice, but I would prefer a lucky divine personally I like this because it allows people to get exp that's what I use it for usually get one lamp a day :)

Bonfield

2012-03-05 06:17:18

Is there any way to get better odds at getting rare items from it? I always get logs lamps or something worthless like that, I'm p2p btw

2012-03-08 04:25:20

Lol ^

Every time it seems like its going to land on a super rare prize, it stops on it for 2 seconds then moves one over to a shitty prize…fml

FifthDimension

2012-03-08 21:53:06

Since nobody has said this yet any item over 100k in untradeable and the chance of getting a rare item is extremely unlikely I have spun it over 300 times on multiple accounts and haven't gotten a single good thing.

Btw if you get the 10m cash you can use that ^^.

rice

2012-03-08 22:35:26

the best item so far are those medium lamps i have gotten. i always get near the super rare one but never land on it

Brotein

2012-03-09 00:22:46

So far best was Rune Platebody in terms of GP value, but I have been getting lucky with non preselected medium/small lamps. Free summoning xp is always fun.

Incarceron

2012-03-11 21:36:27

I always cross my fingers for the Divines and Elysians lol :P But the most useful thing I've gotten was a Huge Lamp. (Free prayer exp ftw)

Nemesis3X

2012-03-12 22:50:51

Well, I still like this new update event if I get crappy loot that I just don't claim.

What make me Laugh about this update is that a member on runescape forum made a Rant because on a free account, he ended on the super rare item which was saying in the description, an awesome bow! and he did buy membership on his free account to get the bow and it was a Yew bow… I loled so hardly when I read that.

I think it is kinda nice. :) I am not poor, but I don't have all those fancy items, so it would be nice to have wealth + nice items like that with no cost. :D Plus the exp lamps are great! I got a huge lamp. It was pretty nice. :D
