This might seem absolutely absurd to talk about but I have a feeling that luck does not exist.
When something happens to an individual which he might consider as "lucky", the reason it happened is nothing but a series of events which led to this final happening.
A man finds a coin on the pavement, he will deem himself lucky but what really happened is :
- Someone dropped that coin or threw it away
- Nobody looked on the pavement to find the coin (series of chemical reactions in the brain ?)
- This man, after multiple chemical reactions in the brain looked at the pavement and found the coin
So, what is luck ? Is it nothing but the fact that you are the victim of an event which has little chance of happening ?
Sorry if this makes no sense, so little makes sense nowadays that I just reflect on just about anything.

So then in theory, luck would really just be the term for a small percentage outcome happening?
Not sure if I made that clear…..Take your example. One possible outcome would be the nerves in effect 'noticing' the coin on the ground, another outcome would be they don't see it. Now one of these outcomes would most likely have a higher percentage chance of happening. If the smaller percentage occurred, that would be "luck" in the eyes of the beneficiary.
So then, doesn't luck actually exist…but it's actually misunderstood?

It depends what you define luck as. Many see it as magic, some others actually believe in it, like karma.
The literal definition of Luck - "Success or failure apparently brought by chance rather than through one's own actions."
So luck is whatever you think it is. Your analogy is just a few different events that could of led up to the man finding the coin. One could say all of those would be luck. It all depends what you choose to believe, and how you choose to percieve the world around you. Which goes along with religion, etc.
I think you were going for Luck : Nonexistant ? For the title by the way :p.

the victim of an event.
Probability, occurrence, events.. etc
No, luck doesn't exist. It's just a summing. Some people are more lucky than others. Well.. that's what I think.

What about if I came up to a dead end, and can only make a right or a left. If I chose the wrong one wouldn't that be considered unlucky?

Well this is the same argument as determinism and free will, (I feel like anything can be argued this way)…
Free will = luck exists
Determinism = You were determined to do that long before/sub conscious
I will have to explain my thoughts later if people don't see where I am going with this.
I normally don't really believe in luck as I don't like to rely on 'Fate'. But when I am having a series of bad events starting from the very second of a new day, I am very careful about what I do for the rest of the day.
I think bad luck is just a mental thing humans use to rationalize events in to a category, along with good luck. If something bad happens early in the day, the person would be angry or upset because of that bad event. Thus creating more bad events.

That's because Jagex has specified what monsters drop and when. I don't know how their drop code works, but I'm sure it's a glitch in the code that makes that happen. If you want to call it luck, then go for it.
I don't think that's luck. That the drop chance working. That can be explained by the developers of the game who set the drop rate to what it is for those monsters.

Reality is an illusion created by the lack of dimethyltryptamine, When I was high I saw the variables of the universe two of these where time and space I couldn't see anything more.

Luck is like time. It doesn't really exist. I was a man made "invention" to help us understand something. Time is just a unit we made up to keep track of the distance of one event to another. Luck is much the same. Its made up to help us understand. If you find a hundred dollar bill the first thing that pops into your head is what? "Wow am I lucky!!" Because something fortunate happened to you because of a series of actions. My opinion.
