So 16th March is the double exp weekend (the multiplier starts at 2.7 and ticks down to 1.1) so anyway i suggest you guys either buy loads of stuff now and hold it for some days or keep the botted supplies until that day, will make u more money! I'm set up with 30m logs and 20m feathers I hope people will do fletching and fishing that day =/.

Sounds good to use the chicken killer- feather looter to collect as many feathers as u can. This can be good product in the double xp weekend.

Yessir, double xp is double xp for everything except Summoning :p

Herblore is the main skill that most people are going to train on. Btw I'm thinking on Hercules too because I need a more decent lvl in herblore. 26 ATM,lol.

Yes, on for p2p.

I was thinking about this, and logs and feathers might go up because of the level 80 ranged requirement to use Bakriminel bolts. That means some people will likely be eager to get these bolts and use them, and level up their range level.

Making the bolts requires level 85 and 93 fletching. Some people will level up their fletching. This should affect logs.

I don't know how good/valuable Bakriminel bolts are (will be), though.


Does anyone think the prices could actually drop? Wouldn't mind a discussion about that. To me, it doesn't seem likely.

Herbs and planks and maybe even dhide are a great thing to invest in in these bonus weekends. A trend i tend to see is all the prices are up until about 3-4 days before the bonus starts to kick in. So you might Wana take that into concideration.

Why is nobody thinking of bones lol. Prayer costs the same as herblore or is a bit less, but still i paid 200m for 95 prayer. I'm currently stocking up in bones. I have 30k frosts atm, still have some money left, but i am not really sure if its a good investment :P

Bones, Herbs, and shit like planks will go up.. Expensive skills will go up because people want to save money. Doubt anyone will be fishing.. Maybe fletching.

Doesn't affect altars. It does affect ectofuntus (spell check?) Afaik. But is ectofuntus with bonus better than altars?

Anyway I don't think prayer is going to be trained much. Try investing in construction ingredients or herblore ingredients. Maybe logs for firemaking and perhaps runes even?

Herbs have already increased in price a bunch, so much so that I think they're dropping in price a little now. But everyone is stocking up on things early on, so be careful about holding onto your items too long. From what I've heard, prices peaked last bonus xp weekend a few days before it started, and fell from then on.

Armor and weapons seem to be falling and should continue to fall during the bonus xp weekend due to everyone skilling, though.

I have just come back and notice the bonus weekend and though i might as well invest, but i don't understand why prices seem to have been dropping.

People aren't retarded anymore and because the exp boost was announced way back. I'm pretty sure everyone who is thinking about skilling hard has already stocked up on supplies, I guess flipping during that day will be beast since people won't have the patience to buy for cheaper.

here's what will work and what wont

XP earned for most activities in the game will be multiplied, as described in the table above. Training activities whose XP rewards are boosted include (but aren’t limited to) the following:
Work!
Attack and Strength - melee combat .
Ranged - ranged combat; circus.
Magic - magical combat and other spell casting (e.g. enchanting jewellery, alchemy, teleporting); circus.
Defence and Constitution – available from all forms of combat.
Agility - completing courses; using shortcuts; Circus.
Construction - building furniture in your player-owned house.
Cooking - cooking food on a range, fire, or spit.
Crafting - crafting pots, armour, jewellery and battlestaves, and blowing glass.
Dungeoneering - completing dungeons.~
Farming - weeding, planting/harvesting crops, checking tree health (even on trees grown before Bonus XP Weekend).
Firemaking - lighting fires; burning evil tree roots; lighting beacons; burning shades; circus (after Firemaker’s Curse).
Fishing - catching fish.
Fletching - fletching bows/arrows/crossbows/bolts, etc.
Herblore - cleaning herbs; mixing potions (including finishing off unfinished potions).
Hunter - setting/checking traps; butterfly/bird/impling catching; falconry.
Mining - mining ores/gems; mining shooting stars.
Prayer - burying bones; burning shades.
Runecrafting - crafting runes at any altar (including ZMI/Ourania altar); combination runes; crafting tiaras.
Slayer - performing Slayer tasks.
Smithing - smelting ores; smithing metal bars.
Summoning - infusing pouches; summoning familiars.*
Thieving - pickpocketing, thieving from chests/stalls; Pyramid Plunder.
Woodcutting - cutting trees/evil trees.


Wont Work
Quest XP rewards, including Early Bird bonuses.
Items/locations that already give bonus XP (e.g. ancient effigies, strange rocks, genie lamps, tomes of experience, goldsmithing gloves, Ectofuntus, altars in player-owned houses, etc).
XP rewards at the end of minigames/distractions (e.g. Tears of Guthix, Soul Wars, Pest Control, Jade Vine, Skeletal Horror, giving sq'irk juice to Osman, etc).
Anything which allows points to be exchanged for XP (e.g. Dungeoneering tokens, Penguin Points, Brimhaven Agility Arena tickets, Slayer incentives, Mrs Winkin's World of Seeds shop from Vinesweeper, Dominion Tower item exchange, etc).
Any XP earned through the Assist system.
