I feel little guilty of giving this man so much trust. We do go back a long way, but he has always been very to himself, and I am not 100% certain of the sincerety of his sudden interest. He is advertising just a little too much for my comfort. Call me paranoid, but I'd better be safe then sorry.
But I dont have the knowledge to investigate. Can someone check whether the Code = .exe?

With the limited knowledge that I have with dissembling .exe's, it doesn't appear to differ from the source he attached.
However, someone with more experience should be able to tell.

You could always silently replace his attachment with one which we compiled ourselves? :)

But if you compile the sourcecode with the same compiler, is it the same in terms of filesize? Or doesn't it work that way?

Talking out of my ass, but would the same compiler give a binary with same size and md5 hash?

Nope. Different timestamps, compilerflags, paths and such.
