I think that we should close off OPEN Member applications and do this -

Make users release scripts, and once they are proven apt, give them SRL Junior Member rank.
Then, let them continue to release scripts and have atleast THREE SRL Members nominate them for the rank SRL Applicant.
They can then apply at their leisure and the rest is textbook :)

I like the idea but who is keeping track of all of the people who posts scripts etc. We should have designated people for this.

I believe changes in the system are already being discussed at the higher boards. There probably will be some changes soon.

I remember posting a idea similar to this, we should have a active team for this.

Nah. The way we've got it now is good. If someone wants to be an SRL member, no matter their background, he or she can apply. If they're not ready and they apply, it shows something about their attitude. Just deal with the useless applications.

The current way is working fine. And as noidea said, there is something to say about applying.
