Simbas' DTM Editor

I'm having a frustrating time tbh. I cannot get Simbas' DTM Editor to work for me.

When creating my DTM, I register all the points (main, & sub-points) as well as setting the tolerance on the main to 255, and the sub-points to 10 (this just gives me a little variance on the found spot - ie not bot-like) . When I test the DTM, I get a good result (red "X's" in the right spot) - but when I print it and test it in a script - no luck!

Then I find that when I take the printed DTM and use the DTM Editors 'DTM from String' function to recover my DTM - the points are all correct - (relative to each other - that is) but completely offset to the left hand side of the screen. Both x and y co-ordinates are affected.

What the heck am I doing wrong ? Help ? :)

Try tolerance of 15 and you are using a CTS of 1 in the script correct?

My problem is not the tolerance. When I test my created DTM in the editor before saving or printing it, it gives me the correct result. However, once I save or print the DTM (as a string) and then load it back into the DTM editor, my whole DTM has shifted to the left hand side of the screen (and this is confirmed by the co-ordinates) The all the other information is correct, but the loaded co-ordinates of my DTM now place it offset against the left hand side of the screen - however, the points are all correct - relative to each other. It seems that when I save the DTM it changes the co-ordinates of the points I used. But why ?

Working as intended. The DTM doesn't store what position it is on the screen when you first make it, just the points you pick in relation to each other, and what colors they are. It has no need to record where it was when it was first made.

Aha ( ::lightbulb:: :)) - I actually understand what you just said - and it all makes perfect sense.

Thank you! Let me go back to the drawing board - if only to hide my embarrassment! :)
