I think I should just quit runescape. I've used the virtual machine for a while and simba lags too much on the bots id like to run, like runecrafting that makes it freeze every time. I've tried Wine on my mac but it always ends up with an error with everything I tried. Boot camp is my last option, but I don't want to set it up on my mac… So what do you guys think, keep trying or quit? I really wanted 99 runecrafting :p

You can't run a bot so you quit playing…

Don't just quit cuz you can't bot it! Maybe did someone that would run the scripts for you on their computer? Or just legit and try to get a new computer. Or look around the FAQ's and see if you can find some help.

Thing is.. I'm busy in rl studying and playing sports so I won't have much time to play legit. I really just wanted to prepare for the fun stuff in the summer, like GodWars.

just start on a quest and keep doing more and more!

Don't give up man, try adjusting the priority for Simba.

I don't have any problem with simba since my computer is a beast, but my GF have a shit laptop(2 years old and it cost only 500$ when she bought it) and I am still able to bot on it without any trouble.

So, try to find out what is taking all your CPU power and you should be fine!

i should just continue to try or buy an new laptop/pc

Did you install windows version of java using wine?

SRL deserves a pat on the back. Successfully killed a leacher because we made Simba lag people's computers.

Yeah, RS is really worth quiting nowadays, it's just become a terrible tacky game and you could be doing something better then sitting at a screen mindlessly ;).

But i don't sit at the screen mindlessly. I let the script attack all the monsters for me. XD

This guy's a boss, no bots = no runescape.

dont give up because bots wont work. you can try and quest or save money to buy a better mac or pc then bot

So.. he's quitting because his Bots don't work?
Remember to exit/re open Simba, to lower memory it used.
Restart computer every once in awhile.
Could Download CCleaner, cleans a lot of stuff out of the computer, really speeds things up.

Well I figured it out.. I put a crap load more of memory on the virtual box and it works perfectly with no lag!

I think i can try to help you, first of all install clean version of windows, it depends on what kind of Computer you have, if you have like pentium 4 cpu and 1 gb ram, i will recommend installing windows xp with the latest updates, if you have dual core with 2-3 gb ram then install vista or windows 7 with latest updates, after you have a clean version of windows installed, install graphic drivers and motherboard drivers etc, and make sure you install latest drivers, after that try to disable unnecesary windows services, this will really speed up your computer, you can find which services you can disabling here:

after you did that get download Java, dont download Java 7 because simba running slow on Java 7, get Java 6 Update 29, get it here

when you did all this do disk cleanup, delete all temp file, iexplorer cookies etc, after that do disk defragmentation.

last step: Download and install simba, update simba, download script and start botting.
now if you did everything that i said you sould run simba without lagg or with small lag, so this will allow you to bot, and enjoy your social life, i hope i helped you.

Yup. Eventually they will go out of business once we aren't buying anymore memberships.

Nah they will just sell some of their servers, cut staff, cut customer support and service the few players left. Mmorpgs especially like runescape never really go out of business they just make cuts till more come back. (Endless cycle)

The cycle dies when:
They go down, make a few too many cuts, go down further due to lack of support/updates, make even more cuts, then eventually there are no longer enough devs/support staff to create the sort of changes that you need to get players back.
The game then slowly dies off and you end up with a few dedicated players that stick around until such a time comes that it becomes too expensive to keep servers running and the company pulls the plug on the game.

Okay the guy is doing rc…even I think that is out of the question to legit and I maxed out combat as well as a few other 99s legit…20k xp/h is just too slow XD (Yes I want to make cash while doing it so 20k/h)

Seriously, I got the same problem. Just see if some settings in your VM Ware are wrong. Let it use every single piece of your CPU and others. Update everything. VM Ware Fusion is working great now. In the beginning the Smart screen freezes always 5-10 seconds after opening up. Just PM me if you got specific questions!

Definietly keep trying or better quit Runescape (don´t spend you own time on it anymore) but keep scripting.

Well if you try what Imanoobbot said and still works bad keep trying it, dont quit. Or u can even try playing with disable graphics.

But quit just for this wouldn't be the appropriate thing.

My Mac is one of the most powerful (cheap) and reliable computer i've ever owned, why the shit wouldn't you bootcamp it the day you bought it?

Basically I added more memory to the virtual box and it runs with no problem.. I can't believe I didn't do it before.

Just legit it if botting doesn't work in the long run… but glad to hear its working again

Hehe, but my VM is freezing at rc too in the last days. Have to reinstall it i think. :S

Don't understand why people bot rs when they can't even play it legit. Whats the point if you don't even like the game?

I;m pretty sure all botters enjoy the game to an extent, they just want to reap the rewards without actually doing any grind, which is completely legitamate in my eyes.

I only play rs to pk tbh. Lol skilling is boring to me.

Too be honest I always find interest in Runescape again even after the slightest break to go play Xbox. Even just a weak could rekindle your interest :)
