This. Dota 2 is better if you want to play a modern DotA game. I never really understood the point of playing a game where you have to either spend money or spend weeks worth of gameplay to unlock characters. Results in more unbalanced play and more grinding, which isn't fun.

Weeks? Not at all you can gain 800-1k ip in a day and the champs cost 450-6300 IP so it will take no more then 1 week to get the newer champs and a few days to get the older ones.

Still is a silly game model. Understanding it's an F2P game, they do it in a bad fashion. A game should never gimp one person or another based on what time they have invested into the game/how much money. It's a "MOBA", not an MMOPRG, you shouldn't have to play for so long to get access to different characters. But yeah I'll stop derailing this thread now, sorry :p

i havent tried, will sure do it now, ive been playing 8realms, not bad considering jagex created it :D

I'm level 30 on league as well. Loads of fun except for the BR s out there(they need to learn how to use a computer). not to be mean to anyone that is. ;)

I think it's fun. Btw by the time you finally know how to play with a champion, you're ready to buy an new one. No grinding or unfair advantages.

Well then runescape does the same thing. You must invest time in order to level up and make money so LoL is no different. Also if someone in LoL was to pay irl money to unlock other champs it would not matter because no champ is stronger then the other, it all depends on how well you play the champ.

I prety much only play ad carry, because everybody in the team kinda has their own role.

I'm support or tank, always. I suck at AD or AP.

I disagree. If everyone could play everyone it would make the game a lot worse. its like unlocking new weapons in any other game. And that's why they have free weeks for every champ. its also probably most of their income.

Hey! I'm new to these forums and a beginner scripter, but I also just took up LoL not too long ago. I'm not very good, only a level 7 and still have a lot to learn about the game! But if you ever want to play with me just add my account "osunateosu". I'm not god awful at the game and don't feed, but there is still plenty for me to learn.

Dota2 > LoL

I cannot wait for full release of Dota2, I have the beta and its sweet. LoL has poor mechanics if you ask me, I don't like them, never could get into the game as much as Dota.

While waiting for Dota 2 (didnt get a beta key :<) I'm still torturing LoL so

dota2 looks a lot more about doing a lot of damage. I dont know. i cant make any sense of the gameplay videos i see. Lol looks and seems to be a lot more fun, and the champs seem to be more varied and creative. (even though Lol champs arent really that creative and they come out at an alarming pace.)
