Spam like this and you'll feel the pain soon enough. Where is our wall of shame?

What is the quality of those posts? If they were constructive/useful then I see no reason to wall-of-shame them….
If they were 'I agree' or something along those lines then…

EDIT: Okay.. so they are all pretty much either repeating what others have said (or saying 'Yeah Made' when others have already stated that) or saying the the '-insert item- gathering script' will cause market drops.
Fair call, we don't need spammers like that.

The amount of spam recently is insane, and really getting annoying.

Not to mention the huge amount of repeatedly asked for requests and other bot discussion. It's disappointing.

I deleted like 9 of those posts, could have done 30+…. so stupid for people to make a post saying the same exact thing as someone right above them said over a week ago.

Thank you Harry :) Is there anything we can do about this? I think it doesn't fall into an infraction/suspension, does it?

Only thing that "could" be done is infract them for spamming.

But it's just an infractions, that goes away with the time.
I hate spammers, always the same questions, same answers. Looks ridiculous.
Everything just to rise their post counts.
There should exist something like RollBacking post counts.
They have to learn with their mistakes/Stubborness.

Remove posting rights or something along those lines? Or maybe like remove download links for a certain period of time? This would go along with infractions but most people would probably just create another account. Has anyone considered tracking ip's?

I can see why this might be very aggravating, what I am wondering is why spam post? You get nothing out of it O.o

But they think they do.
If there was a requirement for SRL Member, like: to have 10k post counts and reputation. You think they weren't capable of doing anything to get it?
It's sad :/

Hmm I actually think the people that "spam" like that are the same ones that buy themselves a script to use to apply to SRL members with.

Makes sense, it would satisfy the "community" aspect provided they had like 100 posts and a good script.

Whatever it is, lots of thanks to the admins/staff who nailed this guy and reset his post count back to zero :)

Wow, that guy replied quite a bit to Rs scripts instead of making a thread and learning how to script. What a shame that we still get leechers and spammers.

;)

It helps a lot if you guys use the reporting system and report some of the spam posts. Makes our job much easier and allows us to stop the spamming sooner.

The tutorial section seems to have become the new help section, shouldn't only TUTORIALS be posted there, not questions about their scripts?

Yeah… A few days ago I looked in the newbie guides section, and it was filled with help issues.

I'll write it on my to-do list to go through it.
