Ok guys so, my account is almost fully maxed (no bots on main) except slayer/ranged. BUT I HATE RANGED!!! I have over 500k steel knives, 200k rune/dragon darts. But I just cant dedicate my time to ranged. its 86 atm. WTH do I do???? please don't say bot it because its my main Ive never bot it and if I could RC legit to 99 then I'm not going to ruin for stupid ranged. Anyway some real advice please?

Also, any advice for slayer? I know its a pretty simple, get task and do it but Just some tips and tricks.

maybe ranged slayer tasks? knock two birds with one stone

You could try doing something like bandits with ranged, so that you don't have to dedicate attention to it (you could sorta just have it running on another screen and half watch it ;o )

Use chins if you have a not of money :)

Yup i got 99 range legit chinning at monkey dungeon back in 2010. only costed 25m from 85 . Its about 320k xp/h. Supeeer boring and repetitive though.

99 range was the easiest to me, Fire Giants was the way to go for me, or Chinning!

chin that shit 2 hours a day and you'll be there in 2 weeks
i already did the math and if i get about 600k xp a day, which is 2 hours and a little bit, i'll be 99 in 18.5 days :)

thanks guys for the replies. how many chins should i buy and what are the best places to go for chinning? I know theres dagganoths, and monkey cave. anywhere else cuz those are usually full.

I would slay with a canon and the darts. Im pretty sure there is an amazing guide to ranged slaying in Zybez or tip.it, you might wanna check them out :)


If you dislike slayer you can always chin a Nechs for 90+ crims p/h and good experience but you need 85 slayer to fight them.

If you have a lot of money, chinning and canoning (together) monkey zombies in the MM tunnel is always considered the best experience.

If you get bored of chinning and Wana do something smi fun on the way try sw. I did it from 86-92 then from 92-99 I did avian dies it was very slow but made me 69m on the way do it was way worth it. Try it out and mix it up so it doesn't get boring.

You don't need 120k chins, you'll need around ~50k :)

Dont chin at bandits. If you really wanna do it, you might as well wanna overload for killing Delrith.

WOOOOT sell your darts/knifes buy chins and throw them at monkeys and problem solved after that go slayer with your steel titan (if you have) and use your rapier to stab the slayer monsters. NP

AHHHH so much to take in at once! thanks guys for your replies. Im waiting for chins to drop a bit cuz I am NOT paying 100m for 99 ranged. most useless skill in my honest opinion. Anyway. Ill dart n knife while doing slayer n chin at monkeys. seems like the best option. =D

Hey haha , im kind of offended by you using Ranged is useless ;) but then again its your own personal opinion .

I took a quick glance over a few peoples thoughts, which sounded like somethings that i should have done when i got my range to 99, to the point Slayer + ranged training is a great Combonation if you get bored of it try range at Gwd , kill FIRE GIANTS! i did thoes from back when i used to be a level 80 lol *back in 2009 or 08?* go pvping ? you say you have a lot of darts and knives? if you have steel or iron on either knives/darts , go to the orge pen in ardounge get 10k knives and finish them :) its a little time consueming but it can be fun .. these are just my suggestions :)

Zac, thanks for the options, I'm not a big fan of ranged. I've always disliked it but hey, thats my opinion. I'm gna use up all my equiptment till chins go down. only problem with slaying with this equiptment is that some npcs are immune to ranged and melee is a better and quicker option but ill even it out.

Your best bet is to do red chins. I used up my hati paws a week ago and got 99 on my main, currently doing chins on my pure as well. Personally, I don't really care about the price of chins, they're going to be expensive anyways, saving a few 100k isn't going to make much of a difference tbh.

I made billions on my main, but like i said, I hate ranged and im not gna throw more money on it than what its worth.
