What do YOU guys think JaGeX will do... Realistically.

Optimus, optimus, optimus, that word has been coming up fairly frequently and I was wondering, what do you guys think they'll do in order to stop botting, as a whole, as they say they will.

Personally, I think jagex really doesn't care so much about color because it is fairly unused and mass gold-farming methods were retrieved through reflection bots, so really this 'Bot Nuke 2' as they claim it, is entirely directed at the method of botting, in relation to reflection.

Thoughts?

They could make SMART detectable.

Sure, but that wouldn't stop people from using the regular client.

I think forcing everyone to use full screen would definitely make things harder for us.

And would cause a lot of rage from the general public. When I play legit, I never use full screen even though I have a very good computer. It just doesn't have the antique feel of Runescape that I liked when I played.

If smart becomes detectable, we can just use the normal client or swiftkit… I personally think jage. Is stupid for aiming the "second bot nuke" at color. The first bot nuke didnt last long at all lol.

They may just get rid of low setting gfx. I mean, they are trying hard to be WoW so it would make sense to me for them to go all full screen on high detail.

Hmmm, with making SMART detectable as some of you say, how would they go on about doing that because isn't it a privacy security issue with them finding out what exactly is running on your computer? I mean, in terms of smart, we're not doing anything to the client, and our mouse movements using SMART can/are human enough… So I don't think they can detect it that way, unless they completely change the client around or something, no?

I would laugh if they added some bullsh*t game protector like HackShield or GameGuard and then release a RS client and remove browser based clients completely.

For anyone that do not know anything about HS or GG, they are basically seperate programs then run in the background while you run certain .exes(Example: Maplestory). They will detect any types of modifications to the .exe. They are also able to detect processes running on your computer and will then terminate the program they protect until you either restart or trick it in to thinking that you closed it.

Edit: If they did something like that it would slow down your computer even more(if you have a low end computer) and make the FPS even worse then the 9 you are getting now. Haha

Actually, with smart I'm sitting at 45fps . Check it out :
Regardless, I'm curios as to what way they'll completely stop 'everything'.

With SMART I get 50 FPS…

I currently run my army of 10 bots on one computer. If the time comes and they start detecting SMART, we can easily switch to VM's and all buy better CPU's.

I always thought that if they remove the black border on items then they would screw us for a bit. However, I think their engine needs that border otherwise they would have done that a long time ago.

Many Players CPU wouldn't be able to handle the load ;)

I think they can handle the load. Nowadays you can go buy a new laptop and those laptops can run LoL at medium settings, meaning running Runescape is even easier. CPU's are not that expensive anymore, especially the ones from AMD.

I think we here have this general belief that Runescape takes a lot of memory, because from what we see from SMART.

Not to mention the items would look terrible. We can still make item DTMs without the black outline no problem. A lot of stuff would just need to be updated.
