In the BTS of March there is not mention of the 2nd nuke.

Random info; Powerbot released a "preview" of their client.

Which means no scripts what so ever..thus you can't even tell if it is working or not. A lot of people are reporting that PB won't even load.

I will laugh if they ever implement a weather system that can't be turned off.

Many players have been complaining about graphics lag after the new updates to burthorpe and such; The last thing they need to do is add a tonne of weather particles to this choked engine. Have you seen the joke of a draw distance as it is lol?

What's wrong with CTS 1 or 2?

A few people speculate that it could be weather and I'm sure it'd still work fine anyways. So it'd be a very big longshot.

jacmob has said lots of stuff, and we all know how rsbuddy ended, how we went to work for jagex, how he now claims how "their" bot nuke in october was just the begining and so on. Jagex has claimed alot but always took twice the time to do it

They can come up with stuff to stop us for possibly a week or so, but were impossible to get rid of.

While weather is a possibility, I think day and night could potentially be implemented causing a semi-constant change in colors.

If they do implement something along those lines (that can't be turned off) the RS community IMO will be pissed off.

Any ideas as to what they could do to break color? All I can think of is radically changing the colors of objects regularly..?

I do want to see what's coming, for sure. They might be able to crash us. But we also might be able to end with their crash :)

I bet jagex secretly loves SRL.

The only thing that will come out of this is they did manage to kill Simba would be even less memberships being bought monthly and even less profit. Which in turn would raise their prices and make the legits unhappy. Which would also lose them money. They can't win.

What they could do to make color bots more difficult would be introducing a lot more colors of the same type that you need to find what you are trying to achieve, like in mining, make the same colors of say Iron, and have "Fake" iron rocks around. or the same thing with trees, but I think it unlikely. As it is, I have a hard enough time seeing which rocks have ores, and which don't without the aid of the uptext. good thing there's a bot for that ;)

They might not be able to stop us scraping colors from their window, but with the signed client and a few terms of service changes they can scrape our checksums/signatures from process memory.

It's not aimed to 'break' color-bots, the only thing the client updates will do will break bytecode patterns that allow reflection and injection bots to work.
The 'breaking' of color-bots is nothing that will actually 'break' our scripts, you're overthinking it.

Their gonna finally make the black outline on items change :O

Who knows it's all just speculation but it will be interesting to see what they do.

He's probably just referring to the "break" all of the color botters will need to take while they update their useless code.

I wouldn't be surprised if it was a client change, to the way that the browser loads the applet. To me it seems the only logical thing they could do to stop all kind of bots, as they say.

This. All it is is going to be a new way of loading the client. They may even make it native to a browser of some sort maybe that is why they were looking at how many people actually used chrome and by doing so, gave out goggles so they can count number of goggles handed out… Who knows really, but I'm certain they're just changing the client and how it works within the browser… Only March will tell us as to what exactly they have in mind.

The harder they try to stop us, the Harder it will be for them to ban us after Simba is updated to work on what genius they think it was until we just break into it again…

Would be way easier for them to just lets bot play as they want and mass Ban every 2-3 months people that's botting, but it seems like none of them are Bright enough to explore this way… Blizzard is a Great example for that. They lets everyone Map hack and when they decided it is the time for a mass ban, they take action… and it would be a great way to balance this game, since most Gold Farmer would be caught on each Mass ban.

This optimus update is at least 95% aimed at the re-occuring injection bots. In order for Jagex to stop us, they have to make Runescape black & white. Even then we could possibly use image recognition to move about.

And you honestly think Jagex is scared/worried about us?
- We don't solve ALL randoms.
- We don't buy or sell anything, and we don't make money off Simba, nor do we promote it.
- We can assist in keeping item prices from sky-rocketing too high.
- We purchase membership.

Think about us as a minority of illegal immigrants. The government CAN kick us out, but in reality we do too little harm, and in some cases we are actually a positive factor.

Color changes everytime a new area of Runescape loads. That's why we have autocolor ;).

On the case of Jacmob, I personally heard (On RSBuddy forums) that he bought half of his client scripts.

But yes, I believe if it truely is weather then it would be fairly straightforward to detect it.

I am confident that Simba will be crawling out of the rubble soon after bot nuke day, scraping off the dust…and surviving.

They will bring us down, that is a sure thing. but it wont be forever.
As of now, I am enjoying the game with legit play and no longer botting. I like these forums though, which is why i stay.

It's funny how they are publicly denying any relations with GOLD4RS while all their login process goes through ssl-gold4rs (as indicated on the bottom left of browsers). How can you believe anything they say at this point?

As for simba, I think we are the "necessary evil", "the gray area" every nation must have in order to survive, even if it's just a virtual one. In this community, we self regulate with focus on learning not profit (not just hearsay meaningless claims). Simba proves that through action not rhetoric, When people open simba, it opens a editor not just a bot client. It is a epitome of open source and transparency. We are the only open source left in the bot community.

Therefore, I predict the up coming nukes are aimed at gold farmers' bots not color. We might be down for few days due to side effects. If Jagex uses dedicated clients we always have VM and mouse.

Rsbot,rsbuddy,epicbot were all injection clients wich hack the game code.
Simba,scar and runedream are color bots they look for a color without knowing for sure if it is the right object it works with colors wich it can click or whatever.
Injection hacks the game code so becouse of this it knows exactly where this or that object is located in runescape so it does not mess up alot and is very easy to set up it also can use tiles wich makes walking very easy etc etc.

One thing : Jacmob will always be Jacmob, I'll be surprised that they update anything in relation to bots during this month. Last time Jacmob said anything, people were waiting for months upon months, so maybe this is just him letting those people know again, wait a few months and then I(jagex) will come up with a solution to end 'all' bots.

So their plan to stop botting was to hire an ex bot-developer to teleport to one person at a time and check if they're macroing? If that's the case then any legitimate player has more of a place among the Jagex mods then Jacmob ever will. I can report 10-20 Nature-crafting bots per minute and I do it for free.

Well I assume you were half joking, but I'll say this anyway.. SUOMI gets a random J-Mod visit every now and then because of the huge amount of xp he gains per day, which is very bot like. So this is not something Jacmob was hired to do..

For color bots the bot nukes are like "safe" minigames we never really lose!

If Jagex decided to make everything change colors at all times, we still have the minimap, geometry, and uptext. im actually scared, i dont think i could continue to play runescape without botting, i dont have the time or patience to play for 10 hours on end for some levels, if bots are fuly gone its the end of runescape for me

well we will soon see something like this happen. After all the nuke is aimed on March and i can tell you that we got 14-15 more days until march becomes April. I bet on April 1st, they are going to scare everyone with a trick.
