Myself and another member just got wiped for quick cash. Idk what I lost just yet but he lost 150m+.

Yea I had literally JUST given my info to Hero so he could get 92 prayer for me.

Just another example that everyone needs to be more careful.

E: They just stole 85m cash and 16k dbones…about half my bank. They took the vine whip I was wearing and 50k astral runes in my bank along with 8k maple logs….but they left my spirit shield collection, my barrows, another 20m worth in runes, 10m worth of ore, and all of my untradeables(thank god).

Was a novice hacker, they did a really poor job, I expected better :p

I lost 100k(roughly) p ess, cash stack of 10m in pouch, 30k astrals, 12k cannon balls(but not the cannon), zammy spear. Edit if I find anything else missing.

None of those. I am unsure personally. It is all just weird. I have been running astrals for the past week or so no issues and then after taking on a job I get hit… I don't download anything or run anything I don't look at personally.

It gives me a new goal, I've always wanted to rebuild. It will get me back into the game.

E: Yohojo, well technically Hero got hacked while he was doing a service for me because I got lazy. I already changed my pass on my account that was effected along with all of the recoveries just in case.

E2: Well that wasn't hard rebuilding, already back to a 70m cashstack. Good thing I didn't clean my bank last week like I wanted to ;)

I just feel bad.

I hope the account they dumped onto gets flagged for gold farming because of unequal trade distribution :p

I will eventually try to pay you back in some manor. Until then I am gonna roll this dutch and get lost in smoke. Gotta come up with money ideas haha.

Edit: they nit picked me dry. Stacks of runes, weapons, staves, everything that would have a quick flip value. :( I relied on that stuff lol.

Edit 2: Fuckin a just realized I lost DFS. Lol this sucks more and more.

I wonder if there's an exploit that lets someone other than the intended recipient read forum pms.

EDIT: or someone may have access to one of your accounts, maybe a mod/admin could check the recent IPs that have logged into both your accounts and see if any abnormal IPs are found?

Do you think it'd be possible for someone to infect Simba distributions? I'm not saying this is what happened but knowing you both, I doubt you'd fall for any of the usual tricks.

Aren't "guests" Admins that want to remain hidden?(in certain forum areas)

Could that have been a member logged on anonymously? I don't know how it would show up though.

I remember reading about an exploit that a user can create the exact same name as someone and PM's get sent to both of them. I don't know if that's the case, but man, that really sucks!

But then why would they have chosen Hero? Also, that wouldn't explain how we got hacked aswell, as my password was the only one that was stated in any PM, and it was only in 1 PM.

Send Jagex a message saying your bank got wiped and ask they do a rollback. They probably won't, but might ban the guy that wiped you.

I am a long-time player of over seven years, and for the first time I have had my computer keylogged and my account(penguin109) compromised. I am fully aware that Jagex does not refund items, and I fully understand why. If at all possible, though not expected in the least, an account roll-back would be highly appreciated. I doubt that it would be just for others if you did such a thing, so I am also asking if you could check to see which accounts I have traded with today, February 20th. There should only be 1 account, the one the hacker used. There would have been an unequal trade that took place in excess of 80 millions coins, 15 thousand dragon bones and various items including 50 thousand astral runes. I do not care if I don't have any of it returned, I just do not want to see the money sold as RWT, as it most likely will.

Pm me in a month or so when I am not so broke, I'll see if I can donate something to make up for these kinds of mishappens. I really hate to see so many people getting hacked. I been scammed for 200M due to chargeback, scammed for 400-600M at duel arena with defender, and phished for 10-20M. Tbh it feels awful. I wish I could help right now but I am somewhat broke myself, may be later I can help out some. Until then good luck rebuilding and stay safe, check both your computers for rats.

Demise, don't worry about it, I don't care about the pixels. I'm more concerned that this hurt Hero's reputation even though I don't blame him at all for it.

Been doing scans all night and my computer is clean(as it should be since I did a fresh format about 2 weeks prior).
