Friends and fellow automaters (I know it's not a word - but cheaters sounds so silly),

The Simba developers are proud to present Simba 0.99-rc2, the first Simba Release Candidate of Simba 0.99 to be posted here. (Of course, source was available during every step in the development cycle)
Remember that Release Candidates are not always completely stable, but we're fairly certain this Simba brings enough improvements and bug fixes.

Please go forth and test if you're a scripter or user eager to try the latest Simba.

Note that this Simba will not yet go into the auto updater, because it is a release candidate. It needs testing and we rely on your feedback.

Changes:

• Installer ships with PDF and HTML documentation.
• New Settings Form.
• Portable Simba. (Default, System-wide Simba install will follow later)
• The non-portable version of Simba now respects user directories on both Windows and Unix (with XDG support).
• More hash/cipher functions.
• Major settings backend rework.
• Added Version to Simba's UserAgent.
• Latest and greatest Lape.
• Support for JPG/PNG in TMufasaBitmap.SaveToFile (and in SaveBitmap)
• Formatter extension to nicely format your scripts.
• Examples/ directory.
• SendKeys now also has keymodwait
• onScriptOpen and onScriptStart hooks for extensions.

Experimental changes:

• Crash logger. When something goes wrong, Simba will attempt to write a log to a file. You can then choose to keep running Simba or terminate it. (I feel this is the most experimental feature)
• Initial support for loading a bitmap from clipboard in the bitmap convertor.

Fixes:

• Fixed TFontStyle enum.
• DTM Editor fix for mouse hovering.
• Some memory clean ups.
• FindFile fix.
• Read Only mode is no longer allowed on unsaved scripts.
• Decreased default verbosity.
• Minor fix to CTS 3 modifiers.
• GetColors fix for Linux.
• Allow mouse movement outside the client on Linux
• Including files multiple times will not mess with the function list.

Thanks guys, i will be downloading and trying it out shortly.

Bug:

Access violation in IsFKeyDown. Happens when the script tries to enter the user's bank pin.. I've tested it lots. Old simba 0.98v4 works fine, this simba gives access violation.. uninstalled and re-installed both versions multiple times to make sure that it's not an srl problem.

Yes this bug happens to all scripts I test. It;s a bug officially

Compiling failed.


Will not even load the scripts. I did use a downloaded script that I know normally works and added that one and then I got an error with that as well. So far the only thing I see working is logging in and selecting worlds. If someone could post back with the script it would be appreciated.

@All: IsFKeyDown is and was never implemented into Simba. It is a method from SCAR. Coh3n (it appears) included a file name "RandomTool.simba" into the random detection Simba which utilises this method. Remove the include file from SRL.simba for it to work :)

IsFKeyDown from simba.simba in core:

  result := IsKeyDown(VK_F1 + FKey - 1);

So I'll assume all IsKeyDown functions don't work?

I got the access violation at line 98 in simba.simba.

function GetColors(Coords : TPointArray) : TIntegerArray;
begin
  GetColorsWrap(Coords,Result);
end;    

Any script with FindNormalRandoms will invoke the access violation and stop. I think it's been mentioned before in an older rc here, similar problems - http://villavu.com/forum/showthread.php?t=69346

Reverting back to the stable version of simba immediately solved the problem.

This will be fixed in Simba 0.99-rc3, which will be released soon.

I cannot reproduce the IsFKeyDown issue in 0.99-rc2. Let me know if it's fixed or not in 0.99-rc3.

Actually, yes. IsFKeyDown didn't work with SMART the other day. I can't remember which Simba version I was using, but I'll test it and get a hold of you later.

E: IsFKeyDown/IsKeyDown still doesn't work with SMART. Works great in a browser though. My guess is that it's a SMART issue, though, not Simba.
