We need some sort of system to detect leechers in the SRL member rank. I bet these are the people leaking scripts.
For instance, the people who get members and then stop posting but still check the forums a lot. Do they exist or do they just ask lots of stupid questions?

We should make all members+ scripts authed and serial numbered. Just like of MP3 files have ID3 tags, we auto embed info into the .simba file type of what user downloaded it. I know we can't do that from vb attachments, but maybe it's something possible for the script manager?

Certain scripts aren't released publicly to try and prevent gold farmers that would draw unwanted attention to use. Especially the high GP/hr ones are the ones we try to keep away from the gold farms.

The problem with that is it seems that the leaked scripts are being spread via Pastebin, which wouldn't hold onto any data not in the text of the script itself.

I've been trying to get people to post scripts in Members rather than public to avoid leechers. And avoiding the JM rank to get people to post scripts in Members. Which should go some way to restoring member pride. Making it worth being a member. So members will be happy and script more and become devs. And we'll all be happy.

I'm with Fakawi on this one, I don't really mind "leechers".

I released mine to members so I didn't have to deal with idiots. :p
