I am thinking to get a MacBook Pro, what do you Lads think about this?

Also, would SIMBA/SRL be fully compatible with the Macbook Pro?

Buying it mainly for School (Comp Sci Major) … and to have my own laptop that works (my IBMthinkpad broke) :(

Buying a Macbook pro was the best thing ive done. I was sick of being told what i can/cant do by windows.

I have the 13inch version and its stupid fast, everything is an instant.
I use winehq to run simba, you can code in this, but you cant do things such as run aca, pick colours.
However, macs come with bootcamp preloaded, so if you buy a windows cd you can switch between the two instantly

I'd get a windows laptop and spend the money you save on upgrades (SSD?) just my opinion, however my cousin has one and he loves it.

I honestly wouldn't get a Mac if I was you. Put the money towards an ultrabook from Asus or something or the Zenbook, they're faster, slimmer, and better, also SSD compatible.

I just bought a laptop everything is instant, I have an ssd to buffer everything. 7 second boot time (or so I was told), mine currently goes at 20 seconds but then again I have a ton of programs :P

I went Mac and I regretted it. 1500 dollars on a friggin laptop? It can't play games and barely has support for anything.

Pinky use it on something that's not over priced. I bought an HP Envy for 800$'s and in my opinion its superior to to that Macbook I had. Saved me 700$. The components of the Macbook don't even come up to 800 dollars. You're paying an extra 700$ for the Apple brand.

I have a 15" macbook pro from a couple of years ago. It still runs awesomely. OSX 10.6 seems to have bugs though. Mac's are good, but they are also a lot more expensive then their windows equivalents. Up to you though, they run both mac and windows :)
