Hey, I'm currently in the process of making an LRC fisher, was gonna do a Miner but there seems to be several in development! So i decided to do the aspect of LRC that everyone has neglected.
Anyway. My question is, what do you think will be the best detection method for finding the fishing spot? (after the bot has gotten in general area) Oh and please explain your answer! :)

Yeah you would probably need to locate your fishing spot that you want to locate and make a DTM of it. There are some really good tutorials around and it doesn't seem like a super hard task. Then again I don't know if there's something special needed for fishing spots.

i was thinking about making this but im a new scripter and dont know how to make it detect new fishing spots and idk if making a dtm will work because the spot changes

Well you'd simply have to make a DTM for the multiple stages a spot goes through and have your bot check for all possible DTM's. In theory it's all easy, scripting and whatnot, but I can't seem to master the technical precedures and everything…

Or just grab the color of the spot because its different than the water around it, using CTS 2 of course.

Cheers for the responses guys :) I'm much better at scripting now than i was then! All functions are pretty much working, just struggling with a few rouge errors and then gotta complete masterloop then I'm done :)

Hope it all goes to plan, wouldn't mind a rocktail fisher myself… but since there aren't any that I can see… why wouldn't you apply for Members with it? :)

You should look at dates before you post, this thread is nearly a year old and since then RS3 has come out along with SRL6 so it would need a re-write anyway.
