Hey there all… I am sitting at my computer right now, and.. I want to script ! But the thing is, when I try to I always get distracted by stupid online games(Teagames -.-) and never get around to scripting and its kind of making me mad.. What do you guys do when you get distracted or want to script and cant seem to commit? Thanks

this does happen to me some times. to come over it, do a script you acually enjoy.

I always have a at least 3 active projects, and if I get bored/frustrated with one, I can take a break and do another.

I listen music when i script…and if i get frustrated i just take a break go play WoW or something…or to Sleep…;) that helps..

if i get frustrated when scripting, or unmotavated, i usualy give up for a day, and auto a night on the gob schedular, and realise how awesome it'd be to make a script that works for 24 hours + and i get back to work :)

I imagine jagex staff taking a bath in all the money that they have raped from all the legits (including me at one time) and get back to a new way to destroy their server time.

The only way I get motivated to start is the idea that I can get really rich/high levels off the script I am making. After I start and I have my groundwork laid though I just kind of chip away until it's done.

Is it just me or do you guys get distracted in the middle of scripts. Like it seems like yeah im going to do this and do such and such then about 2 hours into it, I hate the idea and dont want to do it anymore. I have about 20 scripts lying about partially done :D. Anyways, I think listening to music always helps or just when you want to make a script, I like to think about what I can do to make it better everytime. I enjoy learning things that are not about school and I like to make my scripts better. When im not tired, im sometimes think about them in bed or in the shower etc. You have to build yourself up(eg get excited) when you really want to get something done.

I usually do waht Thick As Blood does, except i take a longer time autoing :P
I just go play runescape, then when I cant be bothered doing something I make a script to do it for me!

When I get demotivated….it is because my script is failing miserably. Otherwise I don't , for if I make an *ok* script, I just think to myself all the ways it could get better. Then after I edit, I do the same thing, and the improvements motivate me to improve further, until I grow from 300 lines to 1000+ lines like my autofighter did. I needed combat and prayer, so I just kept writing it. Now I'm level 60 and never had a legit level :D I'm expecting to have it grow to 1400 or 1500 lines, and how do I stay motivated? SEE IT IN ACTION! Easiest way, just see it go and write down what needs to be improved :)
