Im enraged at the fact that people are saying RiD is better than Simba.
A Month.
That's how much time I give myself to rewrite EVERY single script that RiD has for Simba.

I'd like to take a partner for this project, anyone who's interested can PM me.

Id say be kind to rid, its a one man project and rid is almost like a proof of concept, because I am 90% sure he uses real computer vision (such as transformation atleast for MTA).

But if you want hand with a enchanter, I got a algorithm to solve it pretty consistent and very good exp :)

Good Luck with your project and i'm sure you will be able to do this.

This is so true. RiD is just an over-hyped paid bot that doesn't actually work as well as advertised…

Good idea OP. I support this 100%! :)

Wait… So despite me botting 15 hours today, and 10+ hours a day every day the past 2 weeks, RiD doesn't work? Hmmm…

Also, Simba has the capabilities of producing RiD equivelant bots. The problem is not with Simba itself, it's in the skill of the actual programmer.

Here's a list of things you will need to actually replicate RiD:

Actual replication of human mousemovements
AI to make real-time decisions
black-box security (or simply keep the script private, as long as the code cannot be analyzed)
Excessively random behaviors, and unpredictable random actions
Unique Styles
Non-trickable Autotalker (means it's impossible to trick the bot into saying something predictable. e.g. you can never force the bot to say anything specific, or to repeat the same thing over and over again)

All of the above can be accomplished with Simba, but the only limiting factor is the programmer. Most of the programmers here lack the ability to accomplish all of it. I do respect Simba, and believe it follows directly after RiD as far as detectability goes.

Also, RiD actually has a larger userbase than Villavu, and they've clocked over 600,000 hours as a community in the past 3 years. Anyone who has a problem with the bot not running properly is either derpin too hard to be able to actually read instructions or the Knowledgebase (My forum rank is HelpDesk Addict. In 90 days I responded to over 1,100 tickets). Over 70% of all tickets filed are done incorrectly, or the user has read instructions properly and is making a derp mistake.

You'll also notice that on the bottom of the website you'll see a Top Botters section with people botting over 20 hours a day, so obviously the bots do work, it's just the derps who can't get them to work.

I myself have botted 3000 hours with Nexus, RSBuddy, ArbiBots, and Powerbot, and 2000 hours with RiD. I do intend to use Flight's ZMI Runecrafter, as I was rather impressed by his thread. Seems to be the best RCer available from what I've seen.

As I said, all the regular members of RiD has a high respect for Simba, and their community, and we mean no disrespect. The ban rate for RiD is nonexistant, and out of the Guideline breakers, it's the lowest out of any other site, despite direct and manual attacks from Jagex.

Again, RiD has it's purpose, and so does Simba. I'd rather we live in harmony than fight each other. Do you remember all of the RSBuddyfags and such fighting all over all the other communities? I don't think either of our communities want that.

Actual replication of human mousemovements

Our mousemovementsare very human like.

AI to make real-time decisions

Like what exactly? What would this be ingame?

black-box security (or simply keep the script private, as long as the code cannot be analyzed)

What does that have to do with how good a script is? SRL/Simba/SCAR(scripts) etc have been open source since the start and we are still here and running fine, obviously Jagex being able to see the source doesn't mean they can detect and ban us.

Excessively random behaviors, and unpredictable random actions

Everything in SRL/Simba is random or can be randomized.

Unique Styles

RiD programmed by one guy, SRL/Scripts made by all sorts of different people, I think we have many unique styles.

Non-trickable Autotalker (means it's impossible to trick the bot into saying something predictable. e.g. you can never force the bot to say anything specific, or to repeat the same thing over and over again)

There have been some auto talker/responders made before.

Anyways, like I've said before, Jagex blows at catching bots anyways, many scripts both Simba and RiD have screwed up big time before and still no bans.
In my opinion the leading factor in bans in getting reported, and neither SRL nor RiD can control weather or not you get reported.

Trent! No one is(or should be) saying one is better than other, or saying RiD is bad etc etc.
All S1N is doing is going to recrate all of the avaiable bots RiD has but for Simba is all.

This should not be a RiD Vs Simba bashing thread, just a good luck cool project thread.

But you don't offer the same thing. It's still detectable, end of story. I'd rather pay less than 6 and a half cents per hour and know I can reach 2496 total level (by the time RiD makes a bot for all skills) without receiving an offense than use a free script. I'd love to see that feat accomplished with Simba. Again, it is possible with Simba, however the work required to give you an equivalent product is extremely large.

To give you an idea, the core of RiD's bots about 30,000 lines. All bots before the fisher added together was around 100,000 lines of code. So since they both work using color, and you can program AI, and almost all of the other features RiD has with Simba, it is possible, however it would just be a very large task.

Where are you getting this? Our ban-rate here is close to none…..

And lines don't mean a thing, the quality of the code does.

Both work fine (as far as I know) and accomplish the same thing, stop saying RiD is SOOO MUUUCH BETTER than Simba.

I'd say they are similar/same and anything than can be done in one can be done in the other, and right now none are more detectable than the other either….

Don't script to prove that Simba is better - script because you love scripting and have met some great people here at Villavu.

There will be no winner here. Those who like RID will always vote RID and those who support Simba will vote Simba.

Of course the ban rate would be lower, not everyone is using the same 13 scripts that have been worked on for years.

At srl we have A LOT more scripts, some of these scripts are YES written by people brand new to scripting; of course their script will have a .01 higher ban rate than someone like flights.

I've used the RiD Free Miner bot, and i tell you the Powerminers from the "First Scripts" section are better. MSI? owns. Other legit Poweminers i'm sure too.

RiD is seen better, because you gotta pay for credits/hour.. it's kinda like Mac and Windows i guess (ooh i'm making comparisons..nice) But with the limited scripts and no new scripts out.. it's not the same.

As for powerbot (not so much about the topic title) i see it coming once they get enough money to assure them not being broke if any legal cases come to them or whatever, hell.. once it's out all its haters and stuff "non-believers" or whatever you want to call them will use powerbot.. i'm sure many of us, eh?

Good luck with the script making, hopefully i'll be able to test some :)

Trent!

2012-02-07 23:17:21

You say Close to none. RiD is 0 following Guidelines, which is as undetectable as is possible, seeing as breaking them proves that it's not a person. The Guidelines is what being a human actually is, and it replicates human behavior, patterns, etc. Yes, you can do the same thing with Simba. I've never said 'RiD is soooo much better than Simba.' Simba itself is a great botting platform with an easy to learn language and an active community. I am not comparing the platforms, I am comparing the programming experience and skill of the script writers. Yes, as I've said, there are members of this community who can replicate what RiD does, and some who can probably code faster than RiD, however, most of these people are hired privately. You need the AI for real-time decisions, which you can do with Simba. You need the replication of human–not human-like, but human mouse movements, which you can do with Simba, however it's an very advanced programming technique. RiD invented his form of mouse movements using the Robot class. If you search up for some videos of RiD's thieving guild bot, you can see some of the examples of what I mean. You also all the other things I mentioned in my above posts.

Yes, the ban rates are low for Simba, but there is a ban rate. RiD does not have a ban rate. The majority of their bots have never even had a ban, despite some being out for over a year, even with users botting 15-20 hours a day. The Ivy Cutter, Thieving, Crafter, RiDiverse, Fishing, Agility, and Construction bots have never had a ban, even out of the Guideline breakers. Feel free to check the threads for 99 threads, as there is a fair number.

Again, I know many users have received 99's with Simba. About how many users on Simba would you say have botted ~16 99's on a single account with Simba, without a single offense?

EDIT: To go deeper into detectability: Jagex has a detection system. They also have manual inspection methods as well. A well programmed bot can easily maneuver around most of Jagex's basic detection systems. However, it gets more complex from there. Any bot that is just straight up scripted, rather than using AI, is detectable through automated means, and very quickly noticeable among manual inspection. Let's say you have AI, and really good anti-ban methods. Then it goes to Mouse Movements. Jagex can easily find the x,y coordinate of your mouse at any time that it is on the applet, meaning it wouldn't be difficult to make an algorithm that would calculate the equations of the line, velocity, acceleration, etc. This means with enough inspection (usually weeks or months of use, seeing as the more variety of ranges of randomness to them, the longer it takes to find a pattern that matches bot behavior). You require movements that mimic human behavior. I've seen my bot drunk, on ritalin, sleepy, curious, and high. It can do things such as adjust the grip on the mouse, or use advanced maths to find and click objects in ways that true humans do. The next time you play RS legit, watch how you move the mouse. Does your bot really move the mouse that way? So let's say you have mousemovements too, then it goes to the Unique Styles. Each bot has a billion possible unique playing styles for how your bot behaves and moves the mose, talks, etc. This means that every bot behaves differently, and even if Jagex ran RiD's bots for 10,000 hours, their bot would behave completely different than someone else using RiD. Now let's say you have that too, then the last thing, Autotalker: More of a fun feature with RiD, seeing as it's only real purpose would be to talk to J Mods, seeing as even if you get reported while using RiD, there is no risk to the account. You can't trick it into saying anythng, and you'll never be able to predict it's response. This means that Jagex can't trick the bot into saying things that would prove it's a bot.

Again, all of that is possible with Simba, however, as far as I've seen, no one publicly has anything like it besides RiD.

You say the script is up to the creator, correct? Well, the same thing goes to RiD. He has to create all the scripts himself, and honestly, I don't find them that good. What makes him a "superior" programmer/scripter than what we have here at SRL?

There are many people who have gotten multiple 99's from Simba alone (With out any offenses), how can you say that RiD is the only one capable of doing that?

NickMystre

2012-02-07 23:29:14

I say again - this debate is a waste of time. RID is RID and Simba is Simba. Neither party will ever give ground to any argument. And besides - why do you feel Simba needs defending. Simba stands by itself, as does RID.

If Trent!s' motivation is to irritate and rile, I'd say he is succeeding. And you Simba chaps are taking the bait. Let it go.

Whether Simba is better, worse or the same is irrelevant - what is important is that there is a thriving, growing community for whom scripting is common ground. And that, too me is all that counts.

Trent! is welcome to stay or go - but stop falling for his bait!

I edited my above post to add in more details what separates the two. As I said, you CAN make a Simba bot that is as undetectable as RiD, it's just that most of the script-writers here don't release bots of that quality.

Again, I don't mean any disrespect. I have a great admiration for the Simba community, and I do plan to test out some of the bots here.

Publicly is a key word here. Scripters here don't have to show off their amazing scripts. They keep them private or in SRL Members. I mean props to the guy who made RID if he wants to make money off a couple decent scripts. Just don't come in here saying that Simba can do everything RID can do, but the scripters don't have the talent. There is much more to SRL than what you can see

I think your knowledge about 'detectability' is all wrong.
Jagex sucks at detecting us.
Tons of scripts (for ANY bot) have screwed up badly in the past and still no bans.
#1 Key to getting banned is being reported by people, which is something no bot can manage.
Our scripts are open source for them to all see and read, yet we are all fine.
We have randomness and humanlike-ness, so I don't see how RiD in any way is less detectable than Simba.

One of your largest arguments is the way the mouse moves…..?
Our mouse moves just fine, has randomness/acceleration/speed/velocity which are all random/can be adjusted too.

And Mouse/MMouse (the mouse moving functions) are the most widely used functions in every script, if there was some easy pattern to spot, then anyone who ran a script would get banned, yet we don't… so obviously our mouse movements are just fine.

Tell me this, what exactly makes Simba so detectable?

About exp etc:
These are just documented stats (not all scripts commit stats) for only users who didn't enter any account info:
http://stats.villavu.com/user/235

Also stats for MSI:
http://stats.villavu.com/script/21
Total EXP Gained : 3,169,076,243
That's 3.1 BILLION XP from MSI alone.

Our totals would be MUCH higher than that, so obviously we are matched/the same when it comes to numbers game, we both have A LOT of hours and xp.

I'm not saying RiD is bad, or Simba is the best, it's just the your claims that RiD has all of this extra super duper stuff are annoying :p! RiD probably has some great things and features Simba may not have right now, but when it comes to detectability, users, xp, hours etc we are same/matched.

A general trend in the human psyche is that as humans we equate more money with higher quality and tend to believe that if something is free it must be defective. You will NOT change someones mind on RiD over simba easily because of this, and honestly, there really is no point to. If they want to use RiD, whats the harm? We as a community gain nothing from gaining a member who wants a bot like RiD, they will not learn to script, and overall will not contribute much. (obvious generalizations, but still.)

As for the time needed, if I wasn't in school right now, I'm pretty sure I could do it in a matter of days (not trying to say oh look at me, I'm better, I'm just trying to say RiD isn't that complex and wouldn't be terribly difficult to perfectly emulate in simba. I think you could also do it in much less then a month if you just sat down and knocked it out)

My main point is that as an open source community, we don't stand to gain anything by trying to go up against RiD, and thus it really isn't necessary. Though I do support your endevors to show how not complex it really is :D

That's strange, all the stories I hear about RiD is that it can't run past an hour, and even 10 minutes in most cases.

That has always been the problem with RID IMO. Stability. Their "antiban" is superior to anything, anyone has ever written for Simba. But you COULD write it for Simba.

But stability-wise, Simba is in the lead.

I've used RID for many years, back in the days the MTA bot was far more stable than today, it could run for 10+ hours without a problem. Now, getting bots to run for 1-4 hours is a challenge. Even without any visible error. And I know for a fact that It's not my settings which are wrong.

From: Bwuk
I bet they are using less lines then 30k line of codes. You cant see into their files for the code so how do you know?

I sure want to help, although what scripts do they have out atm?

Pest control, mage arena, RIdiverse (You can "script" your own little bot for tasks like herblore, fletch, alching) Firemaking, fishing, powermining, construction, blacksmithing, crafting, agility, thieving, and woodcutting.

These aren't full scripts, at all. They're all limited to 1 or 2 training methods.

For instance, the woodcutter is an ivy only bot.

I admit, RiD is weak and not so good as advertised!, Their Unique style system created so many problems, and they don't have a system as good as SMART, thus VPS botting and others need a high RAM and PC requirements whereas in Simba even 256MB Pc's are stable. GL with ur project!

You can do this is a month probably but what will it prove?
Rid is not a bad bot but nothing comparable to simba they are not in the same range we have alot more scripts and we have smart and awesome community not to mention this is open source and a project for everyone to join so we don't have to compare us to them and they don't have to do it eiter honestly it's all about what you prefer.
We have our good points so do they.

I can help out. I made an MTA with reflection, so with color it shouldn't be to much more difficult :p

It will prove it can be done, there have been some people who like to think it cannot be done on simba ("Because our client is inferior", which is total lie)

Good luck man, I know you can pull it off. We all ready have a PC bot that is near flawless for me. I got 80-99 strength and 3x sets full void with it. MTA is outdated I would advise you not to waste your time as there is better ways to make money and train magic now with less requirements. But if your point is to show off to RiD and everyone else then go for it man :)

People say that because most of the scripts for free people are all out dated, hence don't work. Therefore, since all of RiD scripts DO work, and 9/10 of the scripts here DON'T work. In their minds RiD is better. It's a shame all the work that went into MSI, since it was built for those new players that thought Simba didn't work, but none of them use it.

Simba is a good bot though, there's tons of utilitys for scripters, SMART, easy to work with bot client (probably the best!), and a VERY VERY old back ground SCAR has been up for like 8 years now right? Which works with my next point there is a GREAT community here.

That said, Simba uses a completely dead language which is a turn off to most scripters and new learning scripters. Why should they practice a dead language when they could be writing a bot in Java? Well there's a simple answer, it's good to be fluent in Java but it's also good to be Fluent in Java, XHTML, VB2010, VB06, VB.NET, Javascript, pascal(python whatever you want to call simbas code) etc etc…

I really like simba, but i think we need to stop saying things aboout Rid, it doesnt matter who is better. if the users of Rid want to pay, let them pay. We dont need to flame every thing that has monetary purpose. if we want to contribute in a free and open comunity its our likes.

Well said, although it's the fact that they are not advance at all or anywhere close to the level for them to have the rights to sell a Unreliable Bot, that could be found over here 1000x better and safer. Also, nothing wrong with your opinion nor do I have any intentions to start a argument :]

From: Trent!

Lol I got my first 99 with SCAR i guess back in 08 also I've been botting 6 hours a day on multiple accounts using simba since the bot nuke and have not recieved a ban. Jagex can't detect someone clicking on colors lol and also everything used in a simba script, even someones first script, is way more lines than you think for example…..

FindObjTPA

.. code-block:: pascal

function FindObjTPA(var x, y: integer; color, tol, cts, ObjWidth, ObjHeight, minCount :Integer; UpText: tstringarray): Boolean;

Finds object using WizzyPlugin functions. Starts with a Spiral from x and y.
Put in the color, Tolerance and ColorToleranceSpeed.
If you don't know what colortolerancespeed to choose, put in -1.
ObjWidth and ObjHeight are the parameters TPAToATPAEx uses, thus filtering
the MS's FindColorsSpiralTolerance points in boxes defined by
ObjWidth and ObjHeigth.
minCount is the amount of colors it should at least find in a Object box.
UpText, is ofcourse the text the object should have. In the Multi variant the
UpText is a string array.

Sin, GL for one.

Second, Being a RiD member and a SRL Member, i want to say few things…RiD is an amazing programmer, that is already given. He knows his stuff, but the community is built around him. Nothing bad to say about RiD what he does, its hard as hell to pull off…He is a one man army.

Now back to the topic. Trent! calm down and relax, u can't compare the two. They are BOTH undetectable. Understand that what we provide here is free therefore thousands of leachers….Experience wise, simba is used more widely than RiD.

Point number 2. Randomness: SRL functions, their mouse movements, typing, object finding, etc. They are all random and very human like. RiD is the same.

Point number 3. Users: A lot of scripts on SRL are leached beyond anything. The only free scripts that RiD has are non money makers, therefore no leaching.

Point number 4. Ban Rate: RiD has had some users get banned, but obviously they were going beyond the guidelines. Now understand that same rule applies here, following RiD guidelines, no one has gotten banned.

Point number 5. Why?: Why are we having this discussion on every single forum. There is no point, no reason for it. RiD is simple RiD, and Simba is simply Simba.

You can not compare the two, so everyone stop trying so hard.

I feel like I am posting off-topic here but..

Good-luck S1N on this project, I think some people hi-jacked your thread and changed it into a RiD Vs Simba battle off.

How long did it take for RiD to create a Firemaker?
3 Months?
Ahh kk.
It's good to know since I created a near flawless multilocation one in about an hour ^.^

One day bro, one day. And a few hours after that to perfect it. Also you should know it takes longer to code a bot by visuals than scripting for a client. Much longer.

These threads are pointless, in all the years since RiD was released, they never go anywhere. 90% of the opinions are biased and the remaining ones are usually ignored by the biased ones.

Simba has its pros and cons, and so does RiD. For one, I'll without doubt agree that Simba scripts are far more stable than RiD. I can't be arsed to go into the pros and cons of RiD, pretty pointless :p

Let's just keep using the bots we like the most, and let that be the end of it. I prefer RiD, you guys obviously prefer Simba. Have respect for eachother - show everyone that we are both decent and mature communities (unlike PowerBot and RSBuddy)

One last thing, to the guy who said that the RiD community sucks: Please…

@ Aufi :
What do you think we do when we script with Simba/SRL? RiD must have pre-built functions that he has made. Or else he'd go insane. If that's what you're trying to pass off as an achievement.

SRL hasn't gone anywhere either. SRL, if I'm correct, has been around longer than RiD. Where do you base your opinion that SRL is newer than RiD?

I agree that we should be mature and respect each other. But blatant comments like what you've just made do not help. At all.

Aufi

2012-02-11 20:06:06

Sorry Risk, I meant no disrespect :(

All I meant is that it does take a bit longer to code a bot the way RiD does it.

SRL is formerly known as SCAR right? Then yep, you guys have definitely been around longer. RiD released his first bot in 2007 if I remember correctly.

It says 140k xp/hr, if that's accurate my larder script dominates it.

RID is a good bot for what it does, we should have nothing against them, but doesn't mean friendly competition (its free in the first place -_-) couldn't be fun.

Those people that choose rid over simba has their own reason, if we wanna convince them, just redirect them to our sites and tell them what we have (which hopefully will be every single script from RID aswell according to sin).

I have to agree that RiD's antiban is off the scale, I was crafting cannonballs at neit forge and he just kept crafting balls like a baws but then a player come and the bot right clicked the player like if it was checking its combat lvl, then he asked my smith lvl and the bot responded, he left and leaved a item behind on the ground, when the item appeared the bot right clicked and examinated the item like if it knew it was a item there
EDIT: I got the RiD source uploaded yesterday if any1 wanna look at it, most of it is written in java

I think that the worst thing on RID is that it costs very much. And the bots aren´t that good ( for the price ). Only bot i really love there is RiDiverse. That bot is awesome. In RiDiverse you can make your own litle scripts in a minute without knowing anything about scripting. Just setting up everything in the guy. And it is working great! But they got no Runecrafting bot and we got the best ZMI bot is out in total at the moment i think?

RiD is 100% undetectable, but the only downside is that you can't use your computer while botting with RiD on, and the cost of the credits is really high.

I'm not the one that bumped it. I read through most of the posts, i was referring to people in general.

Some make a RiDiverse like object detection. That is get DTM or TPA generated form items in inventory (RiDiverse scan function). I used to code bots in java, trying to study simba, tried making a DTM, but it won't work, did not tried again.

I used RiD after botnuke. Worked properly for me. Buy the ape toll agility did not work perfectly. Some called me bot, after that i stopped botting with RiD, luckly i got simba working (i had java 7, had to install 6 to get it working).

You keep running 1 bot at a time taking over your entire computer while I go minimize Simba and play some Skyrim.
