SRL Archive - Outdated Tutorials

First of all,you would want to open SCAR by double-clicking on it's icon.


Scar window should appear.


First of all,click the Tools button and remove the 'Silent Mouse' checkmark.


Here what the tool bar with images does,all what you will need to use scar scripts is in this bar:


:Open a empty scar window.

:Open scripts.

:Open a script from a selection from the internet.

:Save the current script.

:Copy and delete the selected text.

:Copy the selected text.

:Paste the copied text.

:Search words in the current script.

:Play,pause or stop the current script.

:Just don't care about these,you won't be needing them to auto.

:Pick runescape colors with this.

:Those buttons control the debug/report(the big one is debug and the little one is report) boxes under the screen,use the first button to clear the debug box,use the 2nd button to toggle the report box on/off,and the 3rd make SCAR news appear in the debug box.

:This is the crosshair to detect runescape,i will explain how to use it later on this tutorial.




Go download it and open it on SCAR,you should always READ THE INSTRUCTIONS on the script page before downloading the script to know how it work,when you will open the essense miner,this script should appear:


It may look big at first but don't panic,scroll down to line 38 of the script and you will see this:


This is a player form you must complete,in most of the scripts you will need to complete that,here is an example of a complete player form:

     Players[0].Name :='Noob';
     Players[0].Pass :='lol';
     Players[0].Nick :='oob';
     Players[0].Loc :='Bank';
     Players[0].Active:=True;
     Players[0].Boolean1  := True;   // Is The Pick Equipped?

     Players[1].Boolean2 := False; // False for brightness Check Once.

Name:Your runescape username
Pass:Your runescape password
Nick:The 3 letters that follow the first letter of your runescape username
String1:Your bank pin(if you have one)
Boolean1:Your character got a pick equipped?

Set it like that for each form(0 to 5),you can use more then one account(Each account need to have fulfilled rune mysteries quest!!!)to fill the forms(After a set time,the current account will logout to login with the next one).

When you are done,scroll to line 13 of the script,you should see something like this:

The only thing you should touch is Loads since all the rest is all right.Let's make some maths,5 minutes per loadsX10 loads=50 minutes,this is way to much for continous autoing,you would catch up with a teleport random(like evil bob) and it would crash SCAR,i would suggest reducing the time(you get less chance of having randoms,you usually get one random in 30 minutes of autoing) to 15 minutes like this(reduce Loads to 3):

Now your RuneScape character should log-out after 3 loads of rune essense and log-in with the next set character(If it's the same,it will relog with the same).

Now we are going into business,we are gonna make SCAR work,go on runescape,when it comes to select the quality,select java unassigned and click the low quality button under,like on the screen below:


Select a low crowded server and enter runescape.

Make sure all the accounts you used to complete the players form are in varrock east bank and got a pickaxe(equipped or not),this is where the script initialise.

Now drag the into runescape game until you see a screen shrinking around the game.

Then click the PLAY button on SCAR,now the scar window should minimise and you should see the runescape window,if you did well the tutorial,your runescape character should log-out using the mouse,enter the account entered in player form [0],go to runeshop,teleport from aubury,mine rune essense,teleport back and go put it in the bank,then restart the process.

If it did all of these actions,you suceed in making a SCAR script working effeciently.



Never use a level 3 character to auto,it will get banned,never use a level 80 either,try to use a character that is level 10-70.

Don't wear lame clothes(level 3 basic clothes).

Always use Unsigned JAVA with low quality when autoing.

Try to use multiple accounts to auto.

Never let a script running more then 15 minutes without switching of account(or log-out and in).

And lastly,don't scream on the rooftops you got a auto program,you would get banned nearly instantly :f:

EDIT:If you didn't liked this tutorial tell me why at least,i've been writing this for at least one hour.

well i know that ess miner logs in and i belive picks some colors then logs out then back in and begins but if it just kept doing it over and over idk wht the problem is. how many times did it do that?

i followed the steps and he tries to log in in runescape then he types in Pietje but it has to be Pietje9 i looked on scar the number 9 is there why didn't scar fill the number in?

Guys i cant get Scar to work. I've tried everything. Ive installed and uninstalled scar and SRL like 5 times. And tried the scar autoing with 2 comps. Nothing works i keep getting all kinda errors. In this tutorial i did the exact thing i had to do and i got these errors:

Failed when compiling

Line 967: [Error] (16648:1): Semicolon (';') expected in script

If some1 could tell me how to fix this i would be very thankfull.

On the essc miner thread do i need to download all the attached files?

EDIT#2: It works but i got a bug. It mines and then goes to my bank right? Well when in my bank it bounces around all the grey things in my bank like other runes or talismens instead of banking my essense… Any Suggestions?

You sure you got SRL propperly installed? I had some problems too installing it XD Try going to file->download SRL again. If you do it again and you don't manage to get it right, I uploaded mine:

Put the file in the path SCAR said. Scar->Includes->SRL->SRL->Skills

Only try it after trying installing SRL again though, if not, downloading should do it.

Great title attracted me right off! Yes, very fundamental but that's exactly what this auto/scripting noob needed. And you did it in such a way that I didn't feel like an absolute moron. Your sensitivity to the confusion and often overwhelming feelings of stupidity that cause so many noobs to appear retarded and whine in desperation, you offered a constructive solution; easily understood knowledge. Exault!

The first time I read your tut, however, and read "…if you don't have SCAR, then don't read this tutorial" I thought "Hmm, guess what I really needed was "Autoing for Morons, Imbeciles or Retards….." Perhaps you could direct your students to other good tuts available on these forums like "How to Download SCAR/SRL" (if that's allowed) or simply say "don't read this tutorial until you've read…." Just a suggestion so that the tone of the beginning of your tut can be as positive as the rest of it.

Again, I applaud your work! I've got 8 happy little ess miners and my mind is whirling with ideas for my first script.:D

i tend to use a lvl 3 with a good name and all purple clothign to auto. Also i dont do the unsigned applet thing because it makes me lag a lot. Is this alright? any ideas to make it better?

You need to be a junior member.

This was a fantastic tut. the best one I have read so far. I am very new to autoing and am worried about getting banned. All the other tuts I have read are to do with the technical side. Best ideas so far for staying away from Jagex's prying eyes. The more I read round here the more I learn. I am going to have to have a go at writing a script soon. Ta V Much. :f:

You should
1.)tell us how you got that script
2.)that script is out of date

Are there any in-date scripts?

And yes I am a noob
