Left Username and Password in Script.

Eek..! Sadly was in morning before going to Uni, I wanted to release the script. So in hurry I edited my username/password and SRL stat info out, saved it, and than released.

Just got home, saw my script proggie, than realized I had left the username and Password as comments on the script!

Thing is that why I am extra worried is because this is Kyle Undefined's account (cb 108) a lot of work as put in it from him, and I feel so bad, although Kyle will get on the account and take a screenie of the IP.

I shall pay for any missing items/GP on the account.

Shame shame shame…. Watch out next time P1nky, not many of the other users of this forum will be nice and return your username/password like we would, hopefully nothing happened to the account/gp.

I know :(, sigh, was hoping someone had changed the password and PM'd me, I never though I would make this silly mistake.

Ok, so I got the account back with ease and looks like they swiped the 2M and my whip, nothing big really. They must be idiots since they didn't look through my bank, lol. Also, the inventory was half full with items but I don't know if that was from P1nky or them.

Here's the screen shot of the IP.

I'm not mad or upset with P1nky nor do I care if he pays back the money. 2M is nothing and can be replaced fast.

Let's catch these low lifes! :p

My guess is the person wasn't smart enough to log on via a proxy or similar, chances are it's a person with little post-count.

Egypt IP, that'll lower it down to some people.

Sigh, we had 45 people downloading that script. Seems impossible to get he/she :/

Gave the new pass to P1nky, as long as he promises to slow down before posting :p

Just 41.233.*.* so not sure how accurate that would be?

I think that having the partial isn't very accurate, but I really don't know. Also, it's no big deal, everything has been taken care of.

I really find it outrageous people who take FREE scripts, graciously provided by the scripter and then steal from them as well.

Humans… Never have enough :/

Is there a way to get list of the people who downloaded a script?

Matching those names with the partial should narrow it down enough.

EDIT:

Kyle was that your main?

I'll pay you for the lost but make sure you checked your email and recoveries. They might have changed those.

Send each of them an email telling them to login and snatch their current IP to see if any matches the one in topic?

I can donate some money.. I might not be rich at all due to spending a massive about of over 10m on mobilizing armies (hoping to get top 2 on hs).. but hey I'm still willing if u need cash.

If that is Kyle's main, his bank is over 400M so I am just happy the damage wasn't greater

Kyle Undefined

Nah, wasn't my main, it was my spare p2p account I use for testing/writing scripts. Thank you for the offer, but 2M is nothing :)

It could be THe_JoKeR_1988 (<- whatever), since he has a dynamic IP. Can you get the threads viewed by a user or who downloaded certain attachments?

EDIT: Nevermind on the first point.

2012-02-07 14:07:21

Isn't it possible to see what IP addresses downloaded an attachment? (Wizzup?)

huge subnet jump, for example the 67.ggg*.* where ggg = the same in any case can be nearly anywhere in the world.. comcast owns most of them and they spread them out all over the 48 states

however in this case the entire second octet is registered to one place so any ip starting with 41.233 can be the same person

Gu3st...

2012-02-07 17:24:54

Wizzup? said it IS possible to get the IP-addresses off those who downloaded the attachment. We can cross-match those IPs with the (partial) addresse and see if any matches occur.

Lol, I honestly think this it's too much work to catch them.
