School must be bored when its giving detention for top 10% of the seniors for having backpacks. Me + around 10 other got one the same day lol

most of the schools around here say you can't carry your bag around. my school doesn't have lockers so we have to carry our bags :)

I remember I was eating popcorn, and then my Vice Principle came up to me and asked to search my bag for weed.

My school didn't either. That's why I was confused.

After detention was signed:
Me: Can i take my backpack to the detention?
Principal: Yes, ofc
My friend: Isnt that still considered a classroom?
Principal: Thats being disrespectful, extended day.

Wow, everyone in my school carries a backpack.

I have never heard of such a policy when I was in grade school. I do security for the university in my town and sometimes when I am at the university bookstore and they require the back packs to come off at the door. That is the only time I have heard of that in an education environment until now.

I remember in middle school we had to leave our backpacks at our lockers and carry whatever we needed with us to each class. That sucked.

Yeah I remember that too. All of the struggles I had with that thing….

Yea, I'm on the same boat as you OP.

Maybe we should all email the principal :P. The rule is probably in place as a safety precaution however it does seem over the top.

In my school we can bring anything lol.
