SRL Archive - RS3 Outdated / Broken Scripts

This script currently semi-functioning but needs updating to the SPS paths. The rest of the script is fully functioning. I have no use for this script so I will not be updating it in the future. I encourage you to fix the paths yourself and post your edited versions on this thread. Do NOT assume just because you fixed the paths that it is now your script. I assume that you will give credit when needed if posting this script on another thread. Thank you for using my script and good luck.

Hey Everyone! This is my first script that I have released to the SRL community. I plan on using this script to apply for SRL Membership with so it you have any suggestions they would be very welcome. Anyways lets get started.

Features:
Fishes Lobster or Tuna/Swordfish
Noting fish via Stiles
100% Color
Antiban
SRL Stats: http://stats.villavu.com/script/721

Requirements:
-35 Fishing for Tuna
-40 Fishing for Lobsters
-50 Fishing for Swordfish
-Lobster Cage/Harpoon equipped to your tool belt
-Have exchanged fish with stiles once before.

Recommendations:
60+ Fishing
35+ Combat
*Please not this script is not skiller friendly. You may get attacked by a scorpion.

Starting Spot:

Once you move your character to the location allotted above it is recommended to pick a empty world.

I think I fixed that with the most recent update. Try it out now.

Will try it in an hour or so.

Hi siel i want to first congratulate you on your script its running pretty well.

The only problem i have found is sometimes when its fishing at the docks it will look for the the fishing spot and if it cant find it it will pause for about 30 seconds to a minute and say its found a fishing spot when it hasn't then it realises its stopped fishing and tries again so you may want to have a look at that.

another thing was when it was exchanging with stiles. it got to stiles the mouse kinda hover next to him not over him then it started running back to the docks I had to manually click exchange with him then I re-started the script and it carried on. it may have been a colour problem with another person being there I'm unsure but here is what came up.

Why did you post it in first script? If I were you I would ask if it could be moved to public scripts. This shouldn't hang out it these corners of the script section(not that this section is bad, but it is made to show the first scripts so more experienced people could help out).

Dunno whats wrong but i am a lvl 3 combat skiller and i havent died for 2 hours

I posted it here because it is my first script that I have shared with SRL. I ask to get it moved to the fishing section soon so it does not have to compete with the popularity of other scripts.

Then you are lucky that you have not been attacked. I plan on adding a skiller safe path to Stiles in the future.

Iv been using this script quiet a bit all tho his version has very few fail safes and no randomchecks it still runs very fine this is from his versionw hen i used it

Goodluck. I have fished about 20k lobsters since the beginning of this script. All on one account too :)

You can just open two simba clients with this script loaded. I would like to ask you to not use this script to farm gold but to level you fishing level on characters you play.

You need to go through the exchange cycle with stiles once. They it will it exchange the fish with one click.

How much exp/h do you think I can gain with 85 fishing?

25-30k an hour. If you are looking for exp I would recommend fly fishing.

Ill test it out and see if I like it. I may change somethings if I feel they should be changed. Ill add it to the script and upload it but when I make my decision I will take it down.

You most likely misspelled "Cage" in the beginning of the script.

The script counts the amount of fish you caught. When you exchange with stiles he takes 10% of your fish. I really like the spot finding. Its way faster and reliable then before. Thanks alot :)

The script counts the amount of fish you caught. When you exchange with stiles he takes 10% of your fish. I really like the spot finding. Its way faster and reliable then before. Thanks alot :)

There is no reason it would be doing that unless SRL can not detect the uptext properly. Do you have the latest version of SRL?

If that is happening then the function DidRedClick may not be working. Are you running it in smart? I'll test it myself tomarrow when I have time.

This was happening to me as well right after they updated and I commented out what Siel had said (after checking for updates) and it's been running perfectly since then. Though I may have to stop fishing for a while or just hold on to them since the price of fish has been dropping a lot in the past few days. I'll probably end up using the swordfish myself and cook and sell the tuna.
And to show that it's running smoothly again, here's another proggy. Profit is not accurate, I haven't changed the price in a couple days and fish are WAY down now.

After posting the proggy, I noticed that it was due to a random, so it might have gone even longer. Oh, and just something else I've noticed (it just happened in the few seconds I looked away to watch tv), but twice now it's signed me out saying it found me dead. lol :hypocrite:

Have you already exchanged with Stiles before? Before any of the Karajama scripts work, you have to talk to Stiles and exchange something with him, then you can start the scripts.

E: Been at Karajama for almost a week now (stopping at 10k swordies and roughly 11.5k+ tuna) and the chat is getting really annoying. >_< Everybody constantly talks about bots and who's not one, but I find it funny that nobody seems to know about Simba, they just talk about rsbot and they think epic bot is the only working bot. Just felt like mentioning this as I thought it was a little funny and I'm glad I have the bot going so I don't have to pay attention to the conversations, just that it's still fishing.
Also, if anybody is interested in buying 11.5k+ tuna for cooking, I'll be trying to sell it here on the forums for less than G.E. price to help people out with their cooking levels, not for selling them at the G.E. :p

Absolutely fantastic script. It finds the spots quickly, fits in with the crowd and has no issues with notes run.

Using this now, very quick fish finding, I am impressed!

You'll have much better success with this script if you pick your own colors and maybe even edit the wait times if you have a decent connection.

Tip: Picking the color of Stiles will solve most of the issues you might be having. Pick a part of his outfit where it meets his shirt to his overalls (white/black)

This script was having some issues, because the mouse speed was too fast on my system. I changed the mouse speed for my needs, and it has been working great. I have fished over 1k lobbies so far with no need to help it.

i did fishing today and it work as it was supposed to be. fish -> note -> walk back -> fish

i forgot to copy paste the REPORT, it was around 1100 lobsters at 7hours, i disable and enable often within these period. thats why the result is not so expected.

Very good had a few problems with the note exchange (walked there but didnt exchange them and walked back and then walked and exchanged them) but it sorted it self out and ran ok solved evil bob too! but ti did log out after it…

I would def recommend this to anyone!

I have the 0.98 Simba version, the very first day I downloaded the bot and this script worked perfectly. But it got uninstalled, and several attempts to reinstall the bot and this is what I get everytime I try to load the script: [Error] C:\Simba\Includes\sps/sps.simba(125:3): Unknown identifier 'sortTPAByX' at line 124

It clicks "cage" too quickly. It will click it fine, then under a minute, it'll click it again, and then my guy stand there everyime until it clicks it again. That'll get me banned quickly.

My SPS, SRL, and MSI are all updated. What should I do to fix this?

EDIT: I found the problem. The new version of SPS is not yet compatible with the script. Simba automatically updates the SPS and I kept getting the error mentioned above. I found the fix by downgrading the current SPS. Credit to Zephine

For those of you who don't know how to use this, make sure you first DISALBLE SPS automatic updating, this is done by going into Simba and selecting SPS > Automatically… > and Untick the Update box.

Then drag the SPS folder Kyle gave you into your Simba/Includes directory and once you've done that, go into the plugins folder in your Simba/Includes/SPS and copy the sps.dll file and then go to Simba/Plugins and paste it there.

Great Script, stopped it manually.
Just about flawless, congratulations, will be using this to 62 fishing most likely. :)

Sometimes the scrip walks too far and it doesn't see Stiles, the failsafe usually forces a log out then. Sometimes it tries to exchange too fast and tries to walk to the dock without exchanging, I haven't let it make it bake to the dock but I assume it would just walkback to Stiles. All in all it gets the job done, thanks!

when i start the script it logs in and then right clicks the fishing spot but then the curser doesnt move and it just stays there doing nothing.

I'm telling you, if this supported Urns, it would be the best Fishing Script here

btw, the next thing you could add to this is Urn support, and when you runned out of Urns, it would tele/sail back, fetch some more and get back to Karamja, this would make it the best Fishing Script ever made

He is not updating the script so it probably won't work. The only way now to make it work is to fix it yourself.

I dont know how you can miss this at the top of the thread after reading it twice.

This script currently semi-functioning but needs updating to the SPS paths. The rest of the script is fully functioning. I have no use for this script so I will not be updating it in the future. I encourage you to fix the paths yourself and post your edited versions on this thread. Do NOT assume just because you fixed the paths that it is now your script. Last night I started reading up on SPS (I haven't written a script in a while) and I was shocked at the relative ease in fixing this problem. I haven't thoroughly tested my "version" of this script however, and don't feel comfortable putting your accounts at risk if I did something wrong.

If you would like to try to fix this script yourself, there are two main parts which require attention. At line 300 of the script you should see the following:

The line you will need to change is the one saying "myPath :="

As you can see I have done what is called commenting out a line. The line which has "//" is the original script, and the second "myPath" entry is the one which I have fixed. You may use my corrected path if you choose, it seemed to work well when I was testing.

If you look immediately below the "WalktoStiles" function in the script, you will see the function WalktoDock, which should have another "myPath" entry around line 336. This will also need to be fixed. The path which I created last night did not properly work, about half the time it wouldn't click the first tile (if anyone who sees this knows anything about SPS and wants to help me, send me a PM). This is where you will have to either learn to fix the path, or wait for someone with more experience with this system than me to fix it.

If you would like to try fixing the path, you should start at this tutorial, which is where I learned the basics of SPS last night. You will learn what is required to fix it. Once you generate a path using the program that is recommended, you simply need to replace the old path with your new path. Then you can test the path and hopefully it will work.

I accept your apology on behalf of Seil, I understand how it must be fustrating to deal with inexperienced people. I just had a thought though, would using the "My path" script that you wrote also work for walking to the dock if you were to put the script in reverse?

Simple fix for anyone who has time:
Move to a desired position on the dock, and run SPS_GetMyPos.(You must have SPS defined at the very top)
This will give you a coordinate, (x,y) in the debug box.
Then do the same thing standing next to Stiles, and get a second coordinate.
Now, in order to walk to the dock, all you have to do is put SPS_BlindWalk(x,y). This will walk to the position without a path.

Someone with some free time could get the coords for everyone to use, I think.

Ignore my last question, I tried the reverse path and it didn't work. I have also tried 3 other paths from the wolygons path creator included in 3Garrett3's post, and have encountered the same problem every time. But, if at first you don't succeed, try and try again!

The path shouldn't be the problem (in my opinion), because obviously between the two of us, someone should have been able to get a proper path. It also should have been able to walk the path back when you reversed it. I had tried the same thing and it didn't work.

It's now midnight, but I will look through the SPS include tomorrow morning and see if I find anything useful. I hope we can get the script to work, it's always great seeing a new person put effort into scripting.

I changed the path a few more times but with no success. I also changed to runescape_surface to ['8_10','8_9'] as opposed to the original ['8_9','8_10'], as the SPS_Area on Wolygons path creator was different to the one on the original script. This had no affect either. I'll have to find a detailed tutorial so that I fully understand what i'm doing before I attempt to alter anything other than the path. Actually, I was watching and paying attention to what happened when it was walking. I noticed that it walked a bit too far past Stiles and my minimap looked like this:


I noticed that when I moved back towards the dock one step, the script kicked back in. So I tried to make the final step further right to fix it, and it didn't help.

I called SPS_GetMyPos and it told me that I was at tile (3275, 4087), but I had really walked to (3244, 4097). So it doesn't recognize the tiles correctly when at Stiles.

So I figured out a very crude fix. If the map is reading correctly right before Stiles, then why not just blind click the first step. It won't get me any scripting awards, but it worked when I tested it once.

If you're willing to test it out, then replace your WalkToDock function with this:

It *should* work, because as long as it clicks in the general area that SPS will read correctly, it will start the path at the nearest tile when it starts reading it correct.

I ran into a similar problem because the SPS maps had vastly different colors than the actual runescape map. I created my own map and it work better but still not perfect. You could play around with SPS tolerances and see it you can get the stock maps to work how you want them to.

You can take out the failsafe for checking if the player is in the correct area. The dmt must not be accurate anymore.

I have not used this script or any other in months. I only reason I am still on this forum is because I enjoy the community and the support that they give to each other.

It's on the form of Simba, on the top in blue I think, it says 'cage', change it to 'harpoon'

that works! well… i have one more thing that i cant get it to do… every part of this script is flawless other than making my way back to the dock! it fishes till im full, runs to stiles, changes them to notes, but it just cant seem to do anything after that. i dont even think its attempting to walk back. if this were fixed, there would be no limit to the amount of fish i could catch… anyone got a solution?
